QA Engineer

• Test web and mobile applications using all relevant methods, including automated regression suites, API validation, and exploratory testing • Perform risk-based exploratory testing to find critical defects beyond scripted checks, ensuring testing efforts are prioritized where they have the most impact • Design, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using Playwright and Python • Analyze product features and business/technical requirements to design high-value test scenarios and automation scripts • Perform API testing with Postman, including automated API test execution • Collaborate with developers and product teams within an Agile/Scrum environment • Support CI/CD testing processes (GitLab CI) • Report and track defects in Jira and maintain documentation in Confluence • Participate in the adoption and daily use of AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., for test creation and defect analysis) • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and share knowledge with the team
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software testing on commercial projects
- Strong ownership and a proactive mindset
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to clearly explain testing logic
- Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing
- Proficient with Playwright and Python for test automation
- Solid experience in API testing with Postman (manual and automated)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred)
- Experience with test case management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good time management and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Junie)
- Experience testing mobile applications on real devices or device farms
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience with performance and/or security testing
- Exposure to AI/ML testing tools (for example, intelligent test creation)

• Develop, maintain, and execute functional test cases, suites and plans using Azure Test Plans. • Analyze, document, and track defects and other related issues from discovery to resolution. • Define testable acceptance criteria against which system functionality will be evaluated. • Actively participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews (including product demonstrations). • Proactively learn product functionality and become a passionate advocate of the user experience. • Perform SQL queries as needed against MS-SQL databases.
• Own test strategy per initiative: pyramid coverage, contract and schema tests, integration, E2E, and negative or security-relevant scenarios. • Build and maintain automation for APIs, UI, and messaging; integrate with CI using quality gates, reporting, and disciplined flake management. • Validate behavior on Azure: Functions or App Service, Storage, and Service Bus; provision identity and test harnesses in non-production environments. • Extend coverage to AWS when features require it, using Cloud Architect–approved environments. • Test identity flows deeply: OAuth2/OIDC, client credentials, scopes, and negative authentication cases. • Validate trust-boundary behavior: payload limits, tenant isolation, idempotency, and dead-letter handling per design. • Prepare handover as versioned artifacts: test packs in repo, CI definitions, contract test suites, and explicit ownership-transfer criteria for receiving squads. • Contribute to hardening AFA rules and skills for testing strategy, contract tests, and PR-time quality signals alongside architects. • Deliver early outcomes: baseline automated regression for an active initiative with CI gates; agreed test data and environment strategy with Cloud Architect and DevOps
