Role Description The Senior Director, AI Systems will serve as the strategic and technical cornerstone of our Core AI Agentic Development Team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all AI development in production and ensuring that our multi-agent systems deliver tangible value in optimizing healthcare revenue lifecycles. The Senior Director will partner closely with the product management team to shape the AI roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and determine the most appropriate AI technologies and agent architectures for specific business challenges and opportunities. Responsibilities - Define and drive the enterprise AI strategy, aligning multi-agent system development with business objectives to optimize healthcare revenue cycle performance. - Lead architecture decisions for large-scale, production-grade agentic systems, including multi-agent orchestration, oracle frameworks, and enterprise system integration. - Partner with product leadership to shape the AI roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and select the most effective technologies and approaches for complex business challenges. - Establish and enforce governance, compliance, and guardrail frameworks to ensure safe, auditable, and regulatory-compliant AI system behavior (e.g., HIPAA alignment). - Oversee end-to-end delivery and performance of AI systems in production, defining KPIs and monitoring ROI, reliability, and operational impact. - Build, scale, and lead high-performing AI engineering teams, including budget management, resource planning, and organizational development. - Provide cross-functional leadership across engineering, product, and operations to translate business needs into scalable AI architectures and solutions. • Generate $1,000,000 in pipeline annually leveraging professional network, partnerships and relationships from 10+ years experience in government or public sector technology. • Conduct a high volume of AI discovery calls with public sector prospects and existing Granicus customers. • Leverage AI to identify key customers through budget, council and other publicly available data and build hypotheses to inform high tough, highly strategic conversations with senior government officials. • Run structured discovery to identify the customer’s highest-value AI and process automation opportunities. • Partner with BDRs and AEs on early stage discovery, as well as AI Value Engineers on discovery and solutioning phases. • Own opportunity progression from initial conversation through qualified opportunity; partner with AI Process Analysts on continued opportunity progression. • Scope, propose and facilitate targeted pre-sales engagements, including workshops, on-site working sessions, demonstrations, and forward-deployed team pilots. • Maintain disciplined pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, including meeting outcomes, qualification notes, next steps, and accurate stage progression. • Partner with RevOps and Marketing on lead routing, qualification criteria, and feedback loops to improve top-of-funnel quality. • Surface strategic customer patterns such as use cases, objections, and readiness gaps to Product, Product Marketing, and Marketing teams.
