GRC Implementation Specialist

Role Description As a NERC Software Implementation Lead you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of NERC focused compliance software solutions for our clients. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to configure, customize, and deploy software systems that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure clients meet the highest standards for NERC reliability. Previously roles working within a NERC GRC program are highly recommended. - Software Implementation: Lead the implementation and configuration of NERC compliance software tools, ensuring alignment with client-specific regulatory requirements and business processes. - Consultation & Needs Assessment: Collaborate with clients to assess their current compliance practices, understand their specific needs, and recommend software solutions that streamline compliance efforts. - System Configuration & Customization: Configure software to meet NERC standards, customizing solutions based on the client's operational environment and regulatory needs. - Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of software to ensure functionality, reliability, and data integrity. Troubleshoot issues and optimize configurations as needed. - Training & Support: Provide training to client teams on software use, best practices, and NERC compliance requirements. Offer ongoing technical support and guidance post-implementation. - Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software configurations, system changes, and user manuals to support both internal and client teams. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, compliance experts, and account managers to ensure successful project delivery. - Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with changes in NERC standards and software solutions, recommending and implementing system updates to ensure clients remain compliant. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience with implementing compliance standards or frameworks such as NIST, within the energy sector. - 3+ years experience implementing and managing enterprise software solutions, preferably in GRC or similar regulatory software. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a small team. - Experience working with GRC tools and a strong understanding of GRC processes. - Must be located in the US. Preferred Qualifications - MBA or other equivalent Masters degree. - NERC industry experience as a consultant or other hands-on role. - Security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent. - Deep understanding of the NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) reliability standards. - Knowledge of other compliance frameworks in the energy sector is a plus (e.g., FERC, ISO, NIST, etc.). - Familiarity with system integrations, database management, or cloud-based solutions.
