Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Estimator Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: A construction provider offering framing, cladding, carpentry, and full plaster packages all in one place. Since 2020, they’ve developed a strong reputation for reliability, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship. By delivering everything under one roof, they reduce the need for multiple contractors, streamline timelines, and ensure consistent outcomes. Their capabilities include metal stud and prefab framing, cement sheet cladding, suspended ceilings, plasterboard installation, and detailed carpentry handled with precision from start to finish. They partner with builders, developers, and commercial clients to complete projects on time and within budget. Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Estimator to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects across the Australian market. This role requires strong technical estimating capability, attention to detail, and confidence in liaising directly with Australian clients. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and take-offs based on drawings and specifications - Review tender documents, scope of works, and project requirements - Interpret Australian construction standards, plans, and documentation - Utilize estimating software to develop accurate and competitive pricing - Liaise directly with Australian clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders - Support tender submissions and assist in pricing clarifications - Work collaboratively with project and delivery teams - Assist with ad hoc tasks and administrative support as required
Job Requirements
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction estimating, including BOQ preparation
- Strong understanding of Australian construction practices and terminology
- Proficiency in estimating and take-off software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Flexible and willing to support tasks outside core estimating duties
