• Can perform analysis, implements, tests, and can troubleshoot bug-fixes. Responsibility for design and implementation of software enhancements for Java server pages-based applications using the JSF framework, Primefaces. • Designs, develops, and tests new features in VA provided applications. Responsible for regular communication with colleagues involved in all development processes. • Creates and updates SQL queries for processing Ad Hoc database synchronization. • Provides defect modifications on real-time coordinated budget execution, data reporting and auditing for allocation and tracking of funds through the funding lifecycle and connecting procurement with budget and mission execution. • Provides guidance and best practices for successful Java and/or modernization. • Performs XHTML code modifications for Section 508 compliance. • Maintains Oracle WebLogic Server with Apache HTTP server proxy for two-factor security in the cloud. • Contribute to Oracle database patching and Java server patching with DevOps. • Actively participate in Oracle year-end Process with users and provide Ad Hoc fixes. • Determines user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. • Ensure software standards are met. • Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. • Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. • Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience
- Java JSF Primefaces
- Basic HTML5 and CSS3, JavaScript 5.x, TypeScript 4.x, XHTML, JQuery 3.6.x
- SQL for Oracle (ability to write stored procedures, understand SQL, create tables, and manage DBs)
- Experience with GIT, APIs, Linux, and AWS
- Strong work ethic with ability to manage workload and deliverables under tight deadlines
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills
- Can work autonomously and efficiently in a remote environment
- Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
