This is a remote, travel-based outside sales role covering NJ and DE. Applicants must currently reside in NJ or DE. As an Outside Sales Representative at Island Tech Services, you will drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities with public safety and municipal agencies. Focused on vehicle upfitting and in-vehicle technology, you'll manage a defined territory across NJ/DE, expanding our customer base while growing wallet share within existing accounts. This position is remote from your home office, with regular travel throughout the region. This is a field-based, consultative sales role where success is measured by your ability to build a strong pipeline, develop trusted relationships with decision-makers, and deliver solutions that help first responders operate more efficiently and safely. You'll have access to a full support team-including engineering, marketing, install teams, and executive leadership-to help you win. Key Responsibilities - Identify and pursue new business opportunities with public safety agencies and local governments within your assigned territory - Build and manage a strong sales pipeline valued at $250K+ within the first 90 days - Maintain consistent outreach activity, including 50+ weekly touches through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits - Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and quotes using NetSuite and our sales enablement tools - Collaborate with internal teams-including engineering, install, and customer service-to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction - Represent Island Tech Services at industry tradeshows, events, and customer demos to increase visibility and generate leads - Achieve and exceed sales goals and performance milestones, contributing to the company's growth targets - Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client challenges and aligning ITS solutions with their operational needs Success Milestones - 30 Days: Complete onboarding, product training, and NetSuite basics. Begin internal meetings and introduce yourself to 10+ accounts. Create a territory heat map and practice quoting. - 60 Days: Deepen product knowledge, build a pipeline of 20+ qualified opportunities, submit formal quotes, and participate in a vehicle build or install. Deliver a territory development plan and hold 10+ meetings. - 90 Days: Manage sales cycles independently, maintain pipeline to meet quarterly goals, close initial orders, and deliver 8+ customer presentations. Complete territory review with Sales Manager. - 120 Days: Achieve or exceed quarterly revenue targets, develop top account plans, sustain a pipeline 3x quarterly goal, and demonstrate strong NetSuite proficiency and sales consistency. General Summary: The Regional Public Sector Sales Manager is expected to grow sales on a broad base in new and existing accounts and through new and existing reps.
