Position Overview We’re seeking a Territory Manager based in the Oregon / Alaska area who will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and supporting customers within an assigned geographic region. This role combines relationship management, technical product education, and strategic territory planning. You will work closely with contractors, distributors, and design professionals to promote STI’s firestop solutions and ensure successful project outcomes. This is a fully remote role that requires frequent travel within the Oregon/Alaska territory to support customers and drive sales activity. The ideal candidate must reside in Oregon, with a strong preference for those located in Portland or within 30 minutes of the Portland Airport due to travel and operational requirements. What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities Territory & Account Management Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory by developing strong relationships with contractors, distributors, and design professionals. Conduct regular field visits to job sites, distributor locations, and customer offices. Identify new business opportunities and execute strategies to expand market share. Maintain a strong pipeline of projects and accounts using CRM tools. Customer Support & Technical Guidance Provide product education, demonstrations, and training to contractors, installers, and distributor teams. Assist customers in selecting appropriate firestop systems based on project requirements. Collaborate with STI’s Technical Services team to support complex project needs. Troubleshoot product or installation issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Sales Execution & Reporting Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with company goals. Track sales performance, forecast demand, and report on market trends. Support distributor partners with inventory planning, promotional activities, and sales initiatives. Represent STI at trade shows, industry events, and training sessions. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Marketing, Technical Services, and Product Management to support customer needs and market feedback. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer communication. QualificationsQualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in field sales, construction products, building materials, or a related industry (preferred). Experience working with contractors, distributors, or design professionals is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong relationship‑building and communication skills. Ability to understand technical product information and explain it clearly to customers. Self‑motivated with strong territory planning and organizational abilities. Comfortable working independently and managing a field‑based schedule. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools. Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
