Company Overview Rex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures led by Peter Rex, spanning real estate private equity, technology, insurance, and AI. We build businesses and investment platforms that generate both exceptional financial returns and meaningful societal impact. At the core of our strategy is investor engagement: attracting aligned capital partners who share our long-term vision. We are building the most compelling investor-facing ecosystem in the private markets. The role offers exposure to a uniquely diverse platform, combining institutional-quality real estate and high-growth tech ventures, all aligned under a singular mission-driven vision. About Us Our mission is to catalyze human flourishing through stewardship, serving people in all nations. We seek a transcendent impact, second to none, crossing geographies and making a permanent mark on history. We aim to uplift investors, foster flourishing families, create enduring trust, and contribute to a more beautiful world through our investments, products and services, and new ventures. Our investments are primarily in real estate, with additional allocations to tech, energy, and alternatives, employing a downside-protected, long-term approach to investing. We are grounded in timeless morals and seek to preserve and grow both investor capital and our own. The Opportunity Rex is seeking a Head of Acquisitions to drive direct origination and execution across its real estate investment platform. This is a front-line, deal-driving role responsible for finding, shaping, and advancing opportunities, not sitting behind a model. The platform is active, scaling, and capitalized, with real transaction velocity. This hire exists to increase both the volume and quality of deals entering the pipeline and to help convert them into closed acquisitions. This role is anchored by three mandates: source aggressively, underwrite with conviction, and close with urgency. You will hunt by building broker relationships, running outbound, and generating proprietary deal flow. You will evaluate opportunities quickly and sharply, filtering signal from noise. You will drive deals from first touch through LOI to close, coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners to win in competitive processes. This is not a support function. You own pipeline creation and are accountable for outcomes. The ideal candidate has 7 to 8 years of experience and operates with edge, high intensity, strong commercial instincts, and a bias toward action. Early in career but already dangerous, they are comfortable in the field, not just in Excel. They know how to push, persuade, and create leverage to get deals done. This is a hunter’s seat for someone who wants real reps, real ownership, and direct exposure to deal-making. This is not for passive analysts or career spectators. It is for operators who want to be in the arena, sourcing and closing real transactions. Must be missionary to the bone, fully aligned with the mission and relentless in pursuit of it. Fully remote. About the Role Rex is hiring a Head of Acquisitions to translate the firm’s active, capitalized investment platform into increased deal flow, sharper underwriting, and consistent transaction execution. The platform has real velocity and clear momentum, with a mandate to expand both the volume and quality of opportunities entering the pipeline. This role owns outcomes across sourcing, underwriting, and execution, ensuring speed, discipline, and conviction at every stage of the deal lifecycle. You will operate as the connective tissue between brokers, sellers, and internal stakeholders, driving alignment from first touch through LOI to close while maintaining a high bar for investment quality and competitiveness. You will actively build and deepen relationships across broker networks and ownership groups, generating proprietary opportunities and positioning Rex to win in competitive processes. You will establish systems, rhythms, and personal operating discipline that convert outbound activity into actionable pipeline, balancing aggressiveness with precision and keeping deal quality at the center of every decision. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an acquisitions professional with strong commercial instincts, a builder mindset, and the ability to translate opportunity into closed transactions. It is a front-line seat for someone who wants real reps, real ownership, and direct exposure to deal-making. Key Responsibilities - Source new acquisition opportunities through broker relationships, direct outreach, and proprietary channels - Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of on-market and off-market deals - Evaluate opportunities quickly, filtering signal from noise with strong commercial judgment - Underwrite deals with speed and accuracy, building and refining financial models - Form clear investment theses and make decisive go or no-go recommendations - Drive deals from first touch through LOI, diligence, and closing - Structure and negotiate LOIs in competitive processes to win deals - Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners to move transactions forward - Manage diligence timelines, data rooms, and key workstreams to maintain momentum - Track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and key metrics with disciplined reporting - Continuously build and deepen relationships across brokers, owners, and market participants - Operate with urgency, ownership, and accountability for sourcing volume and closed deal outcomes Ideal Candidate Profile - 7-8+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment sales, brokerage, or a related field with direct exposure to sourcing and closing deals - Background in multifamily real estate strongly preferred, with specific experience in value-add strategies, renovation execution, and operational upside identification - Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, real estate, economics, or a related discipline - Proven ability to originate deals through broker relationships, outbound efforts, and proprietary sourcing channels - Strong underwriting capabilities with advanced proficiency in Excel and experience building and auditing financial models - Familiarity with key real estate tools and platforms such as Argus, CoStar, RealPage, Yardi, and CRM systems for pipeline tracking - Demonstrated ability to identify value-add opportunities through rent comps, expense optimization, and operational improvements - Track record of driving deals from initial contact through LOI, diligence, and closing - Commercially sharp with the ability to quickly assess opportunities and make decisive go or no-go calls - Comfortable operating in competitive processes, with experience structuring and negotiating offers to win - High relationship IQ with the ability to build credibility and trust with brokers, owners, lenders, and other counterparties - Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple deals and timelines simultaneously - Data-driven mindset with the ability to track pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and performance against targets - High agency, scrappy, and relentless in pursuing opportunities and pushing deals forward - Builder mindset with a desire to take ownership of pipeline creation and contribute to scaling a high-velocity platform - Missionary mindset with full alignment to Rex’s mission and a disciplined, outcome-oriented approach to work Rex Ecosystem-Wide Mission Catalyze Human Flourishing through our products and services and to elevate and further humanity in all our business dealings. Rex Values / Rex Culture - Customer Fanatic. We fanatically focus on customers, seeking to ever-deliver more value, and inventing and innovating on their behalf. - Product/Service Passion. Our business thrives or dies by products and services. - Ludicrous Speed. Our default pace is extremely fast. Time is precious, life is short, and moving fast is more fun and effective. - FAWOMO. We will find a way, or make one. - Loves Going to War. Prefers wartime to peacetime, always hungry to move forward, do more, and push growth. - Chutzpah. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Fortune favors the bold. Duc in altum. - Fun. We should only do work, over the long run, that is fun, and work with fun people. Jokes and humor welcomed, PC stuff and uptight behavior prohibited. - Never-Lose-Money Approach. Protects the downside, using careful analysis before deploying significant resources, and ensuring cash is plentiful, never risking what others have and need for what they do not have and do not need. - Other-Centered. Idealist, desperate more than anything to leave an impact with their life by helping other people, seeing money as a means to serve. - Creative Cost Cutting Constantly. There is always a smarter way, always room to cut, always ways to do more with less. A cost advantage is a competitive edge. - Fewer, More Capable. Bias to as lean of a team as possible, with the highest competency, reducing communication and coordination, creating more effectiveness. - Underdogs. What we have done is nothing compared to what we are going to achieve now. We are fighting to be the best, clawing and biting up and forward, aiming to be the champs, be number one. Scrappy AF no matter how much we accomplish. We have never arrived in our minds. We are the underdogs always. - Other Attributes Valued. Point-blank forthrightness in conversation with teammates, brutally facing problems. Velvet glove with iron fist in human dealings. Shrewd as a serpent innocent as a dove. Hardcore work hustle. Invictus mentality. Swagger with humility. Quiet professionalism. Thrifty and not materialistic. Loves who they work with, loves what they do, and loves who we serve. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: Commensurate with experience and market standards Opportunity for performance based bonus and/or equity in deals and funds Benefits: - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with company matching - Fully remote work environment
