Naval Sea Systems Command
Role Description You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY BRANCH, LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. - You will serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in support of programs managed by Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). - You will perform information systems security management functions including enterprise cybersecurity functions such as cyber security process development and leadership to Risk Management Framework Accreditations of networks and systems. - You will be responsible for the day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring of information systems and ensuring information system security measures comply with applicable government policies. - You will lead the execution of the Cybersecurity Campaign Plans to make NCTE enclaves and systems continuously cybersecurity inspection ready. - You will provide cybersecurity technical evaluation of security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives. - You will provide support in the security-based planning, implementation, and sustainment of new requirements. Qualifications - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. - Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Applying Information Assurance (IA) policies to provide leadership and guidance. - Managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. - Overseeing and executing Assessment and Authorization processes. - Continuously monitoring information security programs and incident responses within classified network environments. - Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and various Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions). - Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: - Attention to detail. - Customer service. - Oral communication. - Problem solving. Requirements - Must be a US Citizen. - Must be determined suitable for federal employment. - Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. - New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. - Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. - Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. - You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. - This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722 - InfoSec Manager, proficiency level Advanced. - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. - MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance. - This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
