What you can expect As a Web DevOps Engineer, you will ensure around-the-clock continuity for critical web infrastructure by designing and implementing new systems. You will collaborate with engineers across the US, India, and China to enhance Zoom's web deployment processes and optimize web services, including high availability and disaster recovery. Your role will involve driving improvements in how we manage and organize web services to maintain robust and reliable infrastructure. About the Team Engineering operations are the driving force behind the seamless functionality and continuous innovation that define the platform's unparalleled user experience. The team manages the infrastructure that runs ZoomPhone, Zoom Contact Center, Zoom Virtual Agent and Zoom Workforce management. By employing robust operational strategies, they guarantee the stability and security of Zoom's infrastructure, allowing millions of users worldwide to connect effortlessly. What we’re looking for - Have 4+ years of relevant experience Demonstrate knowledge of various Linux distributions, like RedHat and Ubuntu - Show experience with edge services such as Nginx and Cloudflare CDN - Have proficiency with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins and Argo CD - Have hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform - Show familiarity with message queuing systems, such as Kafka - Have hands on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS - Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills in production environments - Show passion about automating processes to reduce deployment time and enhance efficiency - Have experience with microservices architecture and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes (K8s) and ECS Ways of Working Our structured hybrid approach is centered around our offices and remote work environments. As a DevOps/CI Lead Engineer you will be instrumental in evolving and maintaining our build, test, and deployment infrastructure. We have highly automated pipelines for build and test. Historically, this has been running on self-hosted on-premise infrastructure. We are well underway with our move to a cloud-based build and test infrastructure and are now looking at optimizing our cloud usage and improving developer experience, as well as extending to continuous delivery to customer environments. We are looking for your help in designing and implementing our go-forward CI/CD solution. Our products are built in C++ and Python and run on Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) using MSSQL or MySQL databases. Our target tool set for build, test and deploy are GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, GoogleTest, Robot, Terraform, Harness and Python. Standardization of build and deployment pipelines and the related tooling is a major focus area, including the use of AI across the full Software Development Lifecycle. You will be working closely together with other DevOps/CI Engineers and our development teams. As a senior DevOps/CI engineer with experience in build and test automation, you are excited about leveraging tooling to drive automation and have a passion for infrastructure as code.
