Regional Sales Director – EMEA
Persistent Systems, LLC
• Developing and executing strategy for growing the company’s efforts in the region(s) • Identifying and capturing FMS opportunities in the European and MENA markets • Managing, leading and mentoring the Europe and MENA teams • Managing and monitoring Partner relationships including pipelines, programs, and forecasts • Providing a single point of contact for all aspects relating to the reseller network • Identify largest international markets for Wave Relay® equipment • Vetting and identifying prospective Wave Relay® Partners, agents, and consultants • Ensuring team-mentioned agreements and programs with Persistent Systems and individual resellers meet goals, requirements, and schedules of the overall company • Overseeing and planning market specific trade shows, conferences, and events • Providing reseller strategies and projections to the Persistent Systems’ Business Development and Sales departments • Traveling to customer and business partner locations for programmatic meetings and events • Providing input to the Engineering department in terms of roadblocks to entry into international markets
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
- 10 years’ experience supporting government projects for foreign entities
- 10 years of foreign military sales experience focused on networking and communications systems
- Experience with project planning (including creating and managing work breakdown schedules), project cost estimation, risk management, cost-benefits analyses, progress reporting, and identifying potential business partners
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
- Must have a United States Security Clearance or be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Primary Responsibilities - Achieve revenue and profitability objectives for the voluntary benefits portfolio regionally. - Develop annual business plan to meet membership, penetration, retention, revenue and profitability objectives. - Create and develop relationships with Key Voluntary Benefits leaders from our National and Regional Broker, Consultant and Benefit Administration Partners. - Develop key regional internal and external relationships to facilitate results. - Understand and create a strategy based on analysis and reporting of sales and market trends; including sales plan execution, competitive intelligence and new product requirements. - Provide direction, strategy, collaboration and leadership to the regional distribution organization including; Specialty RVP’s, KA and NA sales and Leadership teams. - Actively provide oversight and strategy development for Sales and Account management teams. - Work with other UHG business units to uncover & facilitate joint sales/distribution opportunities. - Assist in the development of annual sales plans and budgets, monitor productivity and progress toward achieving desired results. - Establish effective partnerships within UnitedHealthcare that maximize the VB opportunity. - Collaborate with the product organization and other functional organizations in the development and enhancement of current products, services and customer offerings. - Assist the regional specialty leaders in achieving consistent activity disciplines to maximize new business development and ensure consistent pipeline growth. - Be the subject matter expert to ensure all sales teams and distribution outlets are fully competent and trained appropriately to sell specialty products. - Develop best practices and implement those based on regional and local market conditions. - Assist with the design and deploy growth and bundling strategies with other commercial products. - Monitor regional commercial adoption and sales results of commercial sales teams. - Continually assess the external environment and competition to maximize growth opportunities, potential acquisitions and capital investments. - Successfully lead in a matrix and shared services environment. Qualifications - 5+ years of work experience at an executive level with solid professional contacts and a command of specialty & voluntary benefits distribution. - 5+ years of experience with supplemental health programs. - 5+ years working with vendor partnerships and vendor management. - 5+ years of proven negotiation skills; the ability to gain acceptance from others of a plan or idea and achieve a mutually beneficial outcome. - 5+ years of cross-functional experience in dealing with customers, products, brokers, closing deals, pricing and competition. - Ability to travel between 25-50% (local and domestic). Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in measurement, data analysis and interpretation.
