The Infrastructure and Platform Services team (IPS) is the backbone of EA's global gaming ecosystem, delivering the technology that powers EA's live games and player experiences. IPS provides a deep portfolio of digital platform gaming services and production infrastructure to EA's game studios. As an Associate Quality Designer supporting the Online Test Group, you will guide quality practices by working with Development, Tech and Production partners. You will collaborate with global teams to guarantee a thoughtful and team-driven approach to delivering a high-quality player first experience. You will report to the Development Director. Responsibilities: - You will analyze gameplay, systems, and data to assess quality, balance, and overall fun. - You will test gameplay features and content using both structured test cases and exploratory play. - You will apply gray-box testing methodologies to identify issues early in development. - You will track bugs, risks, and insights using our internal tools. - You will contribute to test plans, reporting, and tracking for your assigned areas. - You will work with QA Lead staff, management, and partners to analyze testing approach and propose new testing processes. - You will define requirements for charter process in continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: - 3+ years of quality assurance experience in software/web development - Working knowledge of Console, PC, and Mobile (iOS) hardware and software - Experience with network systems - Experience with UX Reporting - Knowledge of the game Industry and software development processes This is a hybrid remote/in-office role. About Proxima Proxima is an independent game studio founded by veterans of Electronic Arts (EA). We pride ourselves on executing with very small teams, high autonomy, and agility. Our inaugural title, Suck Up!, became a viral sensation, championed by content creators and amassing over 300 million views to date. We are currently developing our second project, which will be a PC title set in the simulation genre. We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to play a leadership role on the project. We are a remote-first studio headquartered in San Francisco, California.
