• Work with the GTM Automation Systems team on evolving a Salesforce data model that is technically scalable, easily reportable, and functionally intuitive for end users. • Utilize SOQL API’s, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, Apex callouts, and other development tools to build custom functionality that tailors our sales systems to our unique business and operating model. • Participate in technical analysis activities together and document requirements for application Integration and also involved in integration design activities working with architects and other stakeholders. • Review and assure quality in all code entering our codebase. • Continually evaluate and refactor our existing codebase for increased extensibility. • Ability to learn new technologies depending on project requirements.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, Javascript with Agile development practices
- Knowledge on Force.com coding standard methodologies and experience in Salesforce Lightning Design System
- Experience in identifying common blind spots and bugs in Salesforce and working with and optimizing millions of rows of data
- Experience with Agile development practices

Department Overview OHSU’s Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support population health, value-based care, financial analytics, and data-driven clinical operations across the OHSU Health System. This remote role plays a critical part in developing, optimizing, and supporting our enterprise data warehouse solutions—including Epic Caboodle, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern Azure-based ETL platforms. You’ll design and build scalable data structures, create and maintain ETL pipelines, support analytics for clinical and operational leaders, and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of healthcare encounters, financial, and claims data. This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role suited for candidates who thrive in complex healthcare data environments. Function/Duties of Position Data Engineering and ETL Development (Caboodle, Fabric, Azure) - Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using Epic Caboodle Console, SQL Server SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory. - Build and maintain star-schema data structures including facts, dimensions, SCDs, aggregates, and bridge tables. - Perform advanced SQL / T-SQL coding, optimization, data profiling, validation, and source-to‑target mapping. - Support secure ingestion and exchange of data with third-party partners, including SFTP/PGP workflows. - Troubleshoot ETL failures, data anomalies, and performance issues across hybrid on-prem and cloud pipelines. Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineering - Develop user-facing BI assets, including Power BI data models, dashboards, and semantic layers. - Build and maintain Epic SlicerDicer models and analytic structures within Caboodle. - Collaborate with population health leaders, analysts, and clinicians to develop meaningful, actionable metrics.
