Who We Are Nava is on a mission to #fixhealthcare. Nearly 160M Americans rely on their employers for healthcare — yet the system is broken, bloated, and dominated by incumbents who resist change. Nava fuses deep benefits expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver a modern, transparent, and affordable healthcare experience. Founded by seasoned entrepreneurs and backed by leading investors, Nava is one of the fastest-growing benefits brokerages in the country. We’re the first to combine brokerage know-how with proprietary tech like HQ: our AI-powered benefits platform, designed to help HR teams take control of renewals, simplify strategy, eliminate spreadsheet chaos, and empower employees to navigate their benefits with ease. In a $50B industry hungry for change, Nava is built to win — lowering costs for employers, delighting employees, and reshaping how healthcare works for millions of Americans. About This Role & Why It Matters We’re hiring a Client Associate - Micro Group to join our Client Success team. This role is designed for a polished, detail-oriented benefits professional who is ready to step beyond pure analyst work and begin owning client relationships, while still partnering closely with Senior Client Managers and Account Executives. This is an ideal next-step role for a Senior Benefits Analyst or junior Account Manager who is hungry for growth and wants the opportunity to both own a book of business and learn alongside seasoned consultants. You’ll play a critical role in supporting Nava's Micro Group book of business consisting of groups 2-50 ee's. At Nava, this role sits at the intersection of technical excellence and relationship management. You’ll sharpen your consulting voice, expand your strategic exposure, and deepen your benefits expertise while directly contributing to our mission to #fixhealthcare. You’ll have access to modern, AI-powered tools that streamline the tactical work and give you more space to focus on what matters most: delivering meaningful outcomes for employers and employees. This is a fully remote role, with a strong preference for California-based candidates or those with extensive California micro group experience. What You’ll Do - Support the Micro Group Client Portfolio: Partner with Account Executives on micro employer groups (2-50 lives). Contribute to strategy, reporting, renewal preparation, vendor coordination, and client deliverables while learning advanced consulting approaches in real time. - Own a Book of Business Independently: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of micro group clients (2-50 lives). Manage plan-year servicing, respond to client inquiries, coordinate with carriers and vendors, and build strong, trust-based relationships. - Execute Core Benefits Analyst Responsibilities: Handle the tactical and analytical foundation of client servicing, including: - Spreading and analyzing financials for renewals - Carrier marketing and quoting support - Reporting and data analysis - Maintaining and configuring ben-admin systems - Eligibility and billing support - Vendor coordination and day-to-day servicing tasks - Lead Renewal & Open Enrollment Preparation: Build renewal and open enrollment presentations, develop employee education materials, support budget modeling, and ensure timelines are met across all stakeholders. - Create and Present Client Deliverables: Develop decks, reports, and financial summaries and confidently present to HR teams and client leadership for straightforward groups, while supporting senior teammates on more complex presentations. - Strengthen Client Experience: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations, member support, and external vendor partners to ensure seamless execution and an elevated client experience throughout the year. What You’ll Bring We recognize experience can come in many forms, but recent, hands-on brokerage experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this role. If most of the below resonates with you, we encourage you to apply. - Minimum 5+ years of recent employee benefits experience on the brokerage side supporting a high volume of micro group (2-50 ee's) employer clients simultaneously - Active Health Insurance License required - Demonstrated, hands-on experience supporting employer groups through renewals, carrier marketing, and open enrollment cycles within a brokerage environment - Proven proficiency executing Benefits Analyst / Account Management responsibilities including financial spreading, quoting, reporting, and carrier negotiations - Direct experience working inside or alongside benefits administration systems in a client-servicing capacity - Strong Excel and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills with the ability to independently build financial analyses and client-ready presentations - Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead client calls and present renewal materials for straightforward groups - Experience managing multiple client timelines, deliverables, and carrier/vendor relationships concurrently - Professional polish, consultative mindset, and clear desire to grow into broader client ownership and strategic advisory work What You’ll Get - A clear and supported path from analyst-level execution to full client management ownership - The opportunity to work with industry-leading, AI-powered benefits technology that reduces manual work and increases strategic impact - A collaborative, mission-driven team that values ambition, curiosity, and continuous development - The chance to play a meaningful role in transforming how benefits are delivered and experienced, while building a long-term career in employee benefits consulting This is more than a stepping-stone role. It’s a launchpad for benefits professionals ready to stretch, own outcomes, and grow into the next generation of client leaders. Working at Nava As a remote-first company, Nava is committed to building a dynamic and inclusive culture where you have the autonomy to thrive. You’ll be supported by cutting-edge technology, a collaborative team, and a shared mission to revolutionize healthcare. Please note: The benefits below apply to full-time (W2) employees and are not included for contractor roles. Benefits - Health & Wellness: Medical insurance, including a $0 premium HDHP plan for individuals, Dental, Vision, Telehealth and Virtual Primary Care Visits, OneMedical membership, Wellhub, and a $50 monthly benefit to improve your mental or physical health. - Financial Support: Stock options, 401(k) with a $2,000 match, FSA, HSA, and access to Origin Financial. - Work-Life: Flexible PTO, 12 weeks of paid parental leave with 2 weeks of transition time, $50 monthly connectivity reimbursement, and company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, with additional voluntary benefits like supplemental life, AD&D, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness coverage. - Professional Support: $1,000 home office setup stipend and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We believe that solving America's healthcare problem requires leveraging America's greatest strength: our diversity. Healthcare affects everyone – and a team that includes people from all backgrounds and walks of life will be more effective at driving change than a homogeneous one. We are excited to build that kind of team at Nava.
