This is a remote role based out of the United States Why You’ll Love This Role We are seeking an elite Sales Engineering Manager to lead our team of SMEs aligned with the Storage & Analysis product lines. The ideal individual is ambitious, visionary, and enthusiastic about shaping the future of IT & Security data in the enterprise. Your focus will be on attracting and retaining top talent, nurturing growth, and empowering your team to excel in expanding our Search & Lake products within new and existing customers alike, partnering with our Product Sales Specialists, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Leadership across the globe. This position is based anywhere in the continental US, and will report into the VP, Field Engineering. As an active member of our team, you will - Lead a global Sales Engineering team focused on Search & Lake product lines, and ensuring success of new product launches - Own full people leadership responsibilities for your team including hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development & coaching in line with Cribl’s manager expectations - Provide ongoing mentorship to SEs to teach technical and non-technical pre-sales techniques for securing new clients, managing customers, as well as account expansion across multiple solutions - Continually assess and develop technical capabilities of each team member to ensure each SE reaches and maintains required technical knowledge to effectively perform their pre-sales duties - Reinforce sales methodology and best practices, as well as ensure proper use of our CRM system - Provide periodic performance reviews, assess skill sets, handle personal issues, and provide personal/professional development opportunities - Support Sales Reps + SE teams with their sales campaigns and customer management activities in order to ensure a high rate of success and achieve revenue targets, by assessing customer information, identify and address problem areas, formulate relevant solutions, and present solutions effectively - Deliver sales presentations, present technical information about Cribl’s products and services, conduct product demonstrations and execute Proof of Value events If you’ve got it - we want it - Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations in person, via telephone, and through remote conferencing with executive level customers, direct reports, and the Cribl Leadership Team - Background of successfully selling into both new and existing customers - Ability to teach ways to identify new and existing opportunities through consultative selling methodologies - A history of successfully leading a technical pre-sales team that drives target attainment - Must be able to lead a team and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent AND 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role OR equivalent combination or education and experience - Ability to travel up to 30% - This position may require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties. - Proven self-starter with a motivated attitude to be able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities simultaneously. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a pleasant and professional attitude towards customers and co-workers - Background in Cloud, Security, or AI/ML preferred Salary Range ($170K - $205k) The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to regional results. Role Description This position is Remote. Responsible for the direction and performance of all designs, procurement, construction and set-up for future operations on a specific project to ensure the work is performed in conformance to the project objectives and requirements.
