Clinical Informatics Analyst – Staff

IMH

• Perform workflow and system analysis and functional design for software development/configuration activities associated with clinical applications • Participate in the implementation, training, adoption, and process improvement of Health Information Technology (HIT) • Interact with business and clinical caregivers to build productive relationships • Work flexible hours to meet project requirements • Provide customer experience and service utilizing verbal and written communication skills • Prioritize and organize work with attention to detail and limited supervision • Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, virtual meeting applications, and scheduling applications • Use informatics fundamental skills to positively impact people, process, and tools • Use basic project management skills to contribute to technology project deliverables • Round in facilities across the system to observe workflows, meet with key stakeholders, assist with implementations, and other targeted functions

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of workflows in a healthcare system
  • Proven experience engaging providers, nurses, and other clinicians in learning through presentation and communication skills
  • Experience applying informatics fundamentals (People, Process, Technology) to impact quality and safety
  • Experience participating and leading deliverables of Informatics projects
  • Experience working with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR vendors
  • Experience or training in the use of Continuous Improvement
  • Registered Nurse and other licensed clinical incumbents must hold and maintain current state licensure.

Administers the normal operations of processes including data analysis, exception identification, reporting, and tracking compliance. Helps to ensure that the mechanics of the processes are monitored, identifies opportunities for improvements, and works with Supply Chain and the vendor service contract representatives to implement. Leads in the resolution of complex work requests, development, and implementation of asset management systems, maintains standards and procedures for software administration to ensure appropriate service documentation and events are appropriately managed. Responsibilities Essential Functions •Collects and maintains accurate CE asset information in repositories to address budgeting, software/firmware version, inventory,service contracts renewals, and costs. •Works closely with Supply Chain service contract representative to timely review, implement renewals where the service history supports, assists in the execution of service contracts and/or renewals, and maintains appropriate documentation of contract expenses that can be broken down by site. •Builds completed service contracts into the CMMS system. •Maintains the contract list so that it can be pulled into the annual budget documents. •Reviews all asset discrepancies, assesses, and provides variance resolution. •Assists with CE asset inventory true-ups and reconciliations. •Responds to requests from Customers, Managers, CMMS vendor, and team members for specific CE Asset Management information. •Stays informed of new and updated CMMS features and understand the potential benefits that they represent to the CE or customer/users. •Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. •Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions •Essential skills include the ability to facilitate, build consensus, persuasiveness, and work within in a team environment. •Must be able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. •Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills are necessary; as well as proficient written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a professional image and ensure communication is understood by the listener. Qualifications Education/Training Associate degree in business, Legal Studies, Healthcare or related field of study or 2 years of experience in related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. •Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information. •Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies. •Either possess or can develop an understanding of hardware/software technologies and configurations including virtualization. •Proficiency with office productivity software (MS Office Suite, including Excel to review large data sets, SQL) and SharePoint Preferences. Power BI or Tableau experience would be beneficial. •Familiar with Enterprise CE inventories, including techniques such as scanning, ongoing electronic inventory tracking. •Knowledge of CE Asset Management principals / practices. •Strong written & verbal communication skills. •Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to multitask. Licensure/Certification None. Experience Two (2) years of experience in a Data Management function, including the building and management of reports.
