Responsibilities As a Human Resources Generalist, you are responsible for assisting the Human Resource Department with various phases of HR activity including administration, employee onboarding, benefits overviews, employee relations investigations, and various support systems. In addition, you will: - Act as Point of Contact and direct support to middle management (i.e. below Director/GM level). Support the Regional HR Manager (RHRM) in functions related to your assigned markets/areas of support. - Process terminations via UKG & Oracle, deactivate system access, and submit documents for the employee file. - Communicate, coordinate, and participate in the processing of Internal Transfers and Service Line Transfers. - Review employee change requests for accuracy and submit for processing. - Address updates – Send state tax form as needed - W-4/State tax forms - Direct Deposit forms - Supervisor/Costing updates - Respond to employee and management inquiries and assist RHRM with employee and management inquiry support as needed. - Respond to and submit documents to Legal as requested. - Process Direct Compensation Analysis (CA) requests. - Submit Indirect CA requests to Compensation. - Create Reduction-In-Force/Furlough analysis files and submit to RHRM. - Partner with management on the Zero Hours report. Verify the reason as to why employees have zero hours worked and have employee(s) coded accordingly (i.e. LOA, termination, lack of work etc.). - Partner/communicate with the Leave Administrator on Leaves of Absence inquiries; forward escalations (i.e. terms) to the RHRM. - Send Welcome Emails to new hires. - Conduct New Hire Orientation. - Send Exit Interview Emails and conduct Exit Interviews providing details to the RHRM over the market. - Review Employee Report data modifications (reporting chain, title changes, location changes, transfers, and cost center changes etc.) and submit necessary changes to be processed. - Report and update responses for unemployment claims. - Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers by delivering timely and accurate guidance. - Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications About You: - You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality - You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work - Have 1-3 years of Human Resources experience - Able to work within a team environment, possess strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills - Must possess high ethical standards and protect confidentiality - Must have proficient computer software skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and some Oracle database management experience, is a plus - Experienced in a telecommunications or construction environment, and experience is desirable - Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines - Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Able to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software - Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems Hard work pays off.
