Position Summary Effectual is seeking an experienced Cost Optimization Specialist to support a civilian government customer. In this role, you will translate cloud financial data into actionable cost-reduction strategies, monitor cloud usage, and optimize resource allocation across a multi-cloud environment. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to manage cloud expenditures and drive efficiency. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure, deep knowledge of cloud service pricing models, and holds an AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Monitor cloud usage, implement cost-saving measures, and optimize cloud resource allocation - Translate FinOps Analyst’s findings into actionable strategies to reduce cloud costs - Work closely with IT and engineering teams to monitor and manage cloud expenditures - Continual evaluation of customer’s end-to-end cloud environment for opportunities to drive efficiencies - Design and regularly prepare and present deliverables for the FinOps Office related to cloud cost monitoring and optimization Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (highly desirable); substitution of 6 years of on-the-job experience or at least one Professional Level Certification accepted in lieu of degree - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (6 years without a Bachelor’s degree) in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services - AWS Cloud Practitioner certification required - Expert knowledge of cloud service pricing models, cost optimization strategies, and usage tracking - Demonstrated experience implementing cost-saving measures and optimizing cloud resource allocation - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate required Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate preferred Company Offered Benefits Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our employee benefit programs: - Medical, dental, and vision health insurances, - Short term disability, long term disability and life insurances, - 401k with Company match - Paid time off (PTO) (120 hours PTO that accrue over one year) - Paid time off for major holidays (14 days per year) - These and any other employee benefit offerings are subject to management’s discretion and may change at any time.  Physical Demands and Work Environment The work is generally performed in an office environment. Overview The Billing Support Clerk I assists in obtaining and submitting medical records and/or other forms and correspondence as needed for payors and healthcare providers.
