We are hiring a Software Engineer at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee! In this role, you will design, build, and support data solutions that power targeted outreach campaigns for BlueCross BlueShield members. Your work will directly enable campaigns that help members receive timely, relevant information to support their health and care decisions. Day to day, you’ll work with large and diverse data sets, develop and maintain SQL- and Python-based solutions, support scheduled production jobs, and partner with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, reliable data flows into our campaign management systems. This role offers meaningful exposure to cloud migration efforts and the opportunity to learn and support end‑to‑end production processes that impact member engagement at scale. To be successful in this role, in addition to the core job requirements, you’ll bring strong SQL expertise, working knowledge of Python, and experience using Azure DevOps to manage and maintain code. You'll have experience deploying and supporting data solutions using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable, repeatable, and auditable releases to production. You'll also have experience designing and implementing data quality control (QC) checks to validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data used in member outreach campaigns. You’ll be a strong candidate if you enjoy digging into data, understanding how it’s used by the business, and improving data quality and performance. Familiarity with analytics concepts and experience working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments are nice-to-haves that can help accelerate ramp-up and impact on the team. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The base salary range for this role in the United States is $103,000 - $133,850. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.
