The Manassas, VA site is the headquarters of the BAE Systems Space Systems product line and has a long heritage of premier Radiation Hardened processors dating back to the 90s servicing satellites as well as extraterrestrial missions including all of the Mars Rovers. The position will be expected to perform all aspects of electrical and digital board design spanning from taking a requirements document and systems block/architecture diagram and designing a solution. The solution would entail component selection, PCB stackup, creating symbols and footprints, schematic capture, layout/placement, and routing. We have separate groups for Component Engineering and Gerber generation, but both are valuable skillsets that would be utilized if available. Our boards/systems include many different types of signals and interfaces such as ADC/DAC interfaces, I2C/SPI interfaces, clocks, DDR3/DDR4 memory, PCIe, JTAG, and high speed SERDES.
