What you can expect As a DevOps Engineer on the ECS platform team, you will maintain and enhance the infrastructure powering seamless virtual experiences for millions of users worldwide. You'll be responsible for ensuring 24/7 platform availability, implementing robust monitoring solutions, and driving operational excellence across our cloud-native infrastructure. About the Team With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance. Responsibilities - Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software deployments across multiple environments. - Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing production systems to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for critical Zoom Events infrastructure. - Managing and scaling database systems including MySQL and Redis, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities. - Orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes (AWS EKS), implementing best practices for deployment, scaling, and resource management. - Architecting and maintaining multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI platforms, leveraging services such as caching layers, NoSQL databases, relational databases, storage solutions, and CDN technologies. - Developing automation scripts and tools using Python, and Shell to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention. - Collaborating with development teams to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and promote DevOps best practices. - Participating in on-call rotation to provide around-the-clock support for production incidents and system emergencies. What we’re looking for - Demonstrate 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Production Operations roles. - Apply proven expertise with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). - Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot MySQL and Redis databases in production environments. - Possess expertise of Kubernetes container orchestration, particularly AWS EKS. - Utilize hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). - Demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages including Python and Shell. - Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex system issues.
