Lead Substation Physical Design Engineer
GAI Consultants, Inc.
• Perform physical design related tasks for high voltage substation projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV. • Manage, design, and perform design checks related to technical activities. • Develop and/or revise existing drawings and specifications. • Assist in reviewing junior engineer’s designs and verify compliance with client standards. • Document QAQC reviews, maintain record documents, and communicate information to the team. • Manage tasks on multiple projects while maintaining GAI’s high standards of project management.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years substation design experience preferred.
- Development of and/or revisions to existing drawings for one-lines, physical arrangements, grounding, conduit, lighting, lightning protection, and rigid bus analysis with the ability to produce the associated drawings utilizing client specific CAD software.
- B.S. Engineering or other technical degree required.
- Driver's License required.

Job Summary: The Regional Owner’s Representative (Mechanical) is located in a home region or area and covers client needs as a field owner’s representative.
