Mobile Engineer – Digital Identity
Spruce Systems, Inc.
• Lead the design and development of mobile applications for state governments and enterprise customers using Flutter • Work side-by-side with customer delivery leads, backend engineers, and UX designer to ensure successful deployments • Translate customer and policy requirements into secure mobile architectures and production-ready implementations • Act as a trusted technical advisor to public-sector partners, guiding them through mobile security, identity standards, and best practices • Build and ship privacy-preserving mobile applications that meet public-sector requirements for security, accessibility, and compliance • Integrate mobile applications with backend identity services, cryptographic libraries, and platform APIs • Contribute to shared Rust or cross-platform libraries that run across backend services, mobile devices, and the browser • Support customer deployments, debugging, and operational needs in real-world environments • Represent SpruceID directly with partners during pilots, launches, and ongoing engagements
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping production mobile applications
- Strong experience building Flutter applications for iOS and Android
- Proven ability to lead mobile architecture and deliver secure, production systems
- Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services and APIs
- Familiarity with mobile security concepts (secure storage, key management, authentication flows)
- Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers, ideally in a consulting or delivery-focused role
- Based in the US and excited to engage directly with state government partners
- Experience with digital identity, verifiable credentials, DIDs, or authentication systems
- Background in cryptography, data privacy, or secure mobile systems
- Prior experience working on public-sector or government software projects
- Familiarity with Rust or interoperating with Rust-based mobile libraries
- Experience meeting accessibility standards (WCAG, mobile a11y)

Ce dispositif évolue fortement au regard de l'enjeu grandissant que représente le service de distribution publique d'électricité pour la transition énergétique. - Vous assurerez le fonctionnement du subventionnement des collectivités bénéficiaires et la gestion comptable de la mission en partage avec une équipe de comptabilité rattachée à une autre sous-direction. - Vous entretiendrez un partenariat soutenu avec les collectivités locales concédantes de la distribution d'électricité, bénéficiaires des aides, et avec la fédération qui les regroupe, avec les gestionnaires de réseau et vous collaborerez avec les ministères compétents dans les domaines des comptes publics, de la planification de l'urbanisme et des collectivités. - Vous animerez une organisation nationale qui est compétente pour l'électrification rurale. - Vous aurez la responsabilité de la bonne marche et de l'évolution d'un système d'information autonome (SI-Facé), en partage avec une équipe d'informaticiens rattachée à une autre direction ministérielle. - Le SI-Facé dont l'utilisation est commune avec les bénéficiaires et l'équipe comptable occupe dorénavant une place stratégique dans la conduite de la mission. - Le positionnement du chef de mission est susceptible d'évoluer au sein de la sous-direction du système électrique et des énergies renouvelables en fonction des éventuelles orientations stratégiques qui seront prises sur le dispositif.
