Job Description

Sustainable Operations Manager

• Develop and execute energy management strategies, including ROI and ROM evaluations • Provide expertise in building energy efficiencies and decarbonization to drive operational improvements and reduce energy consumption • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of energy reduction and sustainability initiatives across client real estate portfolios, including development of tactical plans • Meet client objectives and ensure transparent processes for monitoring, measuring, and reporting performance • Provide strategic direction on implementing sustainability and energy services that meet client expectations, leveraging supply chain partners, internal collaborations, and the broader JLL Sustainability Platform • Own stakeholder engagement both internally and externally; establish strong working relationships • Network cross-functionally with other JLL service lines (technology, finance, projects, IFM, consultants, and procurement) to elevate the sustainability mission and drive implementation • Manage changes in partnership with stakeholders that may impact sustainability objectives • Track and communicate success stories to maintain awareness and engagement with the overall sustainability program • Demonstrate innovative thinking by continuously evaluating emerging sustainability and energy-efficient technologies to inform strategic planning and recommendations • Develop and enhance systems and processes for best practice sustainability performance using utility/sustainability management systems for monitoring and reporting • Provide SME input throughout planning and project phases to ensure energy and sustainability standards are incorporated appropriately • Leverage client tools and in-house JLL tools for problem-solving; identify and secure alternative tools as needs arise • Collaborate with other JLL energy managers to share best practices, develop case studies, and identify new business opportunities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in energy management, building operations, or facilities management
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls, building automation)
  • Proficiency in energy analysis software and utility data management platforms
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills with proven ability to present information to all levels of management
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and online software platforms with ability to conduct advanced data analysis
