• Own the end-to-end candidate experience for Staff-level and leadership roles, expertly navigating complex negotiations, equity education, and competitive counter-offers to ensure a high close rate. • Architect and execute sophisticated sourcing strategies to identify elite, "hard-to-find" talent within niche technical communities (e.g., Rust, browser engine architecture, privacy-preserving AI). • Serve as a primary talent advisor to VPs and Directors, providing data-driven insights to influence organizational design and multi-quarter hiring plans. • Lead continuous improvement of the recruiting workflow, utilizing Career Level Guides (CLGs) to ensure consistency in candidate evaluation, leveling, and calibration across all technical business units. • Drive long-term succession planning by identifying and engaging talent today for the critical roles of tomorrow, ensuring a healthy and diverse pipeline.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience managing the entire recruitment lifecycle for technical roles in a high-growth or open-source environment
- Demonstrated ability to build proprietary talent maps and close high-level candidates through mission-alignment and sophisticated negotiation tactics.
- Proven track record of using job-level expectations to lead calibration sessions that result in consistent and fair hiring decisions.
- Strong ability to work with senior leadership to define performance goals and identify development opportunities for talent pipelines.

What You’ll Do As a Part-Time Talent Acquisition Specialist at Sozoroad, you will play a vital role in shaping our growing team by sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent across various departments. You’ll manage the full recruitment cycle—from job posting and candidate screening to coordination and onboarding—ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all applicants. • Own full-cycle recruiting for automotive technicians across multiple locations, from intake through offer acceptance • Proactively source and engage talent using creative, high-touch strategies beyond traditional channels (field sourcing, referrals, networking, direct outreach) — not relying on inbound or LinkedIn alone • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified technicians in a highly competitive, skilled labor market • Partner closely with shop leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, calibrate on candidate profiles, and drive accountability throughout the hiring process • Develop and execute recruiting strategies that balance speed, quality, and cost, while continuously improving hiring outcomes • Screen, interview, and assess candidates for both technical capability and alignment with a customer-first, high-performance culture • Manage and optimize the ATS (Greenhouse), maintaining accurate data, pipeline visibility, and reporting on key hiring metrics • Coordinate and drive interview processes, ensuring timely scheduling, feedback collection, and movement through the funnel • Lead offer process and closing strategy, partnering with leadership to secure top candidates in a competitive market • Track and analyze recruiting performance metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness, cost per hire) to inform continuous improvement • Support employer branding and recruiting marketing efforts to attract high-quality technician talent • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal hiring practices
