Sales Engineer
ESA - Electronic Security Association
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to boost productivity through proactive engagement, training sessions, on-site support, and consistent follow-up. • Accelerate new account onboarding with hands-on activities, training, and guidance to ensure rapid adoption and success in Control4 product sales. • Conduct on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and support for dealer projects as needed. • Deliver on-site and virtual training, project design consultations, programming assistance, and technical expertise to dealers. • Communicate effectively and collaborate with both technical integrators and business/executive-level stakeholders. • Maintain strong internal communication regarding customer opportunities, product feedback, and service needs. • Foster long-term customer satisfaction by building and nurturing relationships, proactively following up, and coordinating with internal resources to deliver timely sales and technical support. • Independently manage a dynamic schedule, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, travel-heavy role.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a sales, customer-facing, or technical support role within the AV/integration industry
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Control4 and/or other home automation/control systems
- Proven track record of delivering measurable business results (e.g., increased sales, successful project deployments, customer retention)
- Strong system design skills combined with practical, hands-on installation and troubleshooting experience
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and executive/client relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75% (primarily regional, with occasional overnight stays)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
