XTG Senior Project Engineers will research solutions, coordinate information with partners and vendors, and support technical troubleshooting during in-process installations, owning the outcomes of the final product of our largest and most complex AV Integration projects. WHAT YOU’LL DO As part of XTG (Experience Technology Group), Senior Project Engineers provide post-sales support to bring immersive and experiential projects to life in partnership with AVI-SPL offices around the globe. This engineering role will provide additional details about how a design approach will be built and configured to uphold the vision of the XTG pre-sales team and our growing network of creative partners. XTG Senior Project Engineers will research solutions, coordinate information with partners and vendors, and support technical troubleshooting during in-process installations, owning the outcomes of the final product. This particular role will have an additional emphasis on Medical Simulation systems for capture, recording, processing, and distribution of audiovisual content within a business context. As an XTG Senior Project Engineer, you will have an expectation to mentor, cross-train, and support the growth of others on the team. Your deep industry experience will help you ensure our delivery aligns with the project goals, scope, and requirements while having the experience to balance customer expectations with business needs. Day-To-Day Responsibilities: Design Finalization - Provide technical oversight of a project from award through installation and completion, including creative technology engineering details and system configuration coordination for XTG and their partners - Review the preliminary design documents including Scope of Work (SOW) and contract to validate quality, completeness, feasibility, and identify technical or logistical challenges - Address concerns with team during kickoff meetings and correct initial-design gaps - Identify, address, and plan mitigation of technical or logistical impediments to delivering scope of work - Perform peer-review, refinement and development of required engineering documents working with CAD Team (e.g. infrastructure drawings/floor plans, ceiling plans, equipment placement, riser diagrams, elevations) - Review cable pull sheets and network coordination - Review calculations including heat and power calculations, and structural needs. - Finalize the Bill of Materials by auditing and approving line items once the design is complete Project Support - Provide Delivering Region's Project Manager with engineering documents required for submittal packages - Work with Delivering Region's Operations to monitor project budgets and identify personnel needs for installation. - Provide technical updates to the Delivering Region's Project Manager regarding project progress and challenges. - Review technical closeout documentation including "as-built" drawings and programming files Field and Vendor Collaboration - Assist with project handoffs to the installation team through carefully crafted documentation - Collaborate with the commissioning and programming team creating checklists, commissioning guides, and field documentation - Aid in troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during the installation and commissioning phases. - Review final drawings with red-line revisions and request “as-built” development - Travel to job sites to support installation teams acting as the senior technical resource when required. Senior-Level Expectations - Lead/oversee commissioning efforts for high-profile installations, ensuring seamless integration of systems and providing advanced troubleshooting for unique or custom setups. - Serve as the final technical authority resolving issues escalated that cannot be addressed by junior engineers in the region. This includes knowledge of various signal formats (HD/UHD, analog, digital), cameras, routers, switchers, and signal processing devices - Ability to read, understand and augment AV signal flow, infrastructure plans and architectural coordination drawings - Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software like AutoCAD or Bluebeam to create system schematics and technical drawings.
