Role Description This is a high-impact, senior engineering role focused on building the next generation of AI-native platform infrastructure. You will lead the design and implementation of systems that embed Generative AI throughout the development platform, driving automation, observability, and FinOps efficiency. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic influence, shaping how developers interact with internal tools and accelerating the adoption of AI-first workflows. You will collaborate cross-functionally, mentor engineers on AI-powered practices, and elevate the overall developer experience. This position offers the opportunity to architect scalable, production-grade AI integrations while influencing the technical direction of the organization. Your work will directly impact developer productivity, platform reliability, and the organization’s AI strategy. - Architect AI-integrated infrastructure that enables agentic workflows for environment provisioning, automated PR reviews, and self-documenting codebases - Embed AI-driven intelligence into CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and FinOps processes to enable predictive scaling, automated incident triage, and cost optimization - Implement governance and guardrails to ensure security policies and architectural standards are met while maintaining developer velocity - Develop internal developer tools with agentic reasoning capabilities to address operational challenges and enhance developer experience (DevEx) - Integrate conversational AI interfaces into the Internal Developer Portal (IDP) for natural language interactions with platform systems - Transform telemetry into actionable insights through AI-driven visualization and reporting - Partner with senior leadership to evaluate AI architecture trade-offs, guide model selection, and align technology decisions with business goals - Mentor engineering teams in AI tooling, prompt engineering, and deployment of agentic systems while evangelizing AI-native workflows across the organization Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Cloud or Platform Engineering, with deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and modern CI/CD practices - Expert-level experience applying AI/ML techniques (e.g., summarization, RAG, agentic reasoning) to operational workflows - Advanced programming skills in Python and familiarity with cloud SDKs; ability to build complex CLI/API integrations - Proven record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact - Strong ability to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience designing Internal Developer Portals (IDP) with a focus on Platform-as-a-Product and user-centric design - Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases is a plus - Contributions to open-source platforms or AI projects are a strong advantage Benefits - Competitive salary range: $152,100–$190,100 USD, depending on experience and location - Remote work flexibility across the United States - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, plus life and disability insurance - 401(k) plan and equity opportunities - Generous paid time off, fertility care, pregnancy and bonding leave, and employee referral programs - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-driven platforms and shape the developer experience at scale - Inclusive and collaborative work environment that values diversity and continuous learning
