Contribute publicly to open source projects to ensure Collabora's continuing technical leadership Analyse client problems and design solutions leveraging open source technologies and Collabora's technical expertise Define and scope client projects in collaboration with the delivery team Gain working knowledge of customers’ products, applications, technical and business strengths and target markets Discussing Linux core system technologies with clients and representing the company at conferences and trade shows to demonstrate and promote our leadership in the open source arena Understanding client needs and reconciling time constraints, available technologies and resources, and open source best practices

• Build strong, trusting relationships with engineers across multiple time zones and cultures • Lead effective one-on-one and team meetings, balancing facilitation with real-time note-taking and follow-up actions • Set and reinforce clear expectations of the engineering role, ensuring alignment, fairness, and transparency • Drive the full performance management cycle by guiding teams through development planning, tracking and discussing progress against objectives, on a timely and constructive manner. • Manage performance, monitor challenges and issues, provide support and conduct appraisals as per company’s guidelines • Support and encourage individual growth and performance • Navigate sensitive or challenging conversations with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and an open mind • Support engineers through conflict, blockers, and personal or professional challenges with empathy and discretion • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to maintain strong communication channels and ensure alignment on organisational goals • Guide the team through organisational transitions, provide stability and maintain morale during periods of uncertainty • Maintain team engagement and productivity during change. • Help shape and champion a culture of openness, accountability, and respect

• Contribute to and collaborate with WirePlumber, PipeWire, and ALSA upstream communities • Design, integrate, and ship embedded Linux audio systems that work reliably in real-world products • Implement and debug PipeWire + WirePlumber stacks, including ALSA, DSPs, and system-level interactions • Work directly with customer teams to translate requirements into robust audio architectures and solutions • Support adjacent areas like Bluetooth audio and Linux audio tooling to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently • Explain complex audio architecture decisions to product teams, provide honest assessments and build trust through transparent communication

• Build open source graphics drivers that run on real hardware • Work directly in the Vulkan driver stack, contributing upstream to Mesa and the Linux DRM subsystem • Debug GPU behaviour that has no documentation • Reverse engineer hardware quirks and fix rendering issues • Work with Mesa and kernel maintainers • Participate in code review across the open source graphics community • Translate hardware vendor and client requirements into upstream-compatible solutions • Balance upstream correctness with real-world pressures • Explain complex driver and GPU architecture decisions to product teams

• Collaborate with development teams to work on Open Source Software projects • Work on the infrastructure supporting desktop, mobile or web applications, involving kernel, embedded, multimedia, graphics, XR, integration, packaging, web engines, system services, toolkits, etc.

• Design, deploy and maintain production infrastructure for client workloads • Own the operational health of client platforms • Favour open source tooling that is well-maintained and community-aligned • Treat infrastructure configuration as software • Translate client operational needs into technical solutions • Balance technical excellence with real-world pressures • Explain complex infrastructure decisions to product and engineering teams • Take on more responsibility for shaping how Collabora delivers infrastructure consultancy

• Support Sales and Partner Managers during the onboarding phase with technical expertise. • Lead and deliver technical product demonstrations, architecture overviews, and proof-of-concept discussions. • Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements, constraints, and success criteria. • Translate customer requirements into clear technical proposals and solution designs. • Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise and public-sector customers. • Answer technical questions related to deployment, integration, security, scalability, and performance. • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Support to relay customer feedback and feasibility considerations. • Contribute to technical documentation, SDK, and reusable presales assets. • Support RFPs, RFIs, and tenders with technical input (especially in German).

• Contribute directly to mainline Linux kernel development: schedulers, power management, device drivers and core subsystems • Support and optimise Linux for extremely popular consumer devices used by millions of people • Make Linux do things it can't currently do • Work with upstream maintainers and represent Collabora at conferences • Translate customer needs into technical solutions while advocating for upstream-first approaches • Balance technical excellence with real-world pressures: customer deadlines, hardware limitations, business priorities, while keeping code quality high • Explain complex kernel decisions to product teams, provide honest timelines and build trust through transparent communication

• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, and provide guidance on policies and procedures. • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. • Maintain and update our HRIS (Zoho People), procedure manuals, policies, and relevant wiki pages for all employees & contractors. • Assist with POps projects such as automation, process improvements, policy updates, diversity initiatives, and organisational changes. • Assist the company in staying up-to-date with relevant labour laws and regulations to ensuring compliance in all people operations practices across the globe. • Act as the main point of contact for recruitment, liaising with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth and efficient process. • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure payroll information is accurate and received in a timely manner. • Other tasks as assigned, including projects.

• Find a cause of the issue and test to check the fix works in a complex environment involving multi-tier web applications • Perform functional, regression and performance testing to identify and report defects or inconsistencies in product functionality • Collaborate with product development and project management teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects • Document and track test results, issues and resolution efforts to ensure clear communication and visibility of QA activities • Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions • Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of quality assurance standards and best practices within the organization • Active participation on regular internal QA calls • Hands-on troubleshooting sessions with customers via video conferencing and/or remote desktop tools • "Can do” attitude in different situations
