Description This position allows for a remote work schedule spent working from home. As a Substation Physical Designer, you will be working in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra high voltage substation design. Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings: - Substation General Arrangement - Substation Electrical Equipment Plans - Substation Section Views (Elevations) - Substation Detailed Bill of Material - Substation Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan - Substation Grounding Plan - Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details - Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan - Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables. - Performing walkdowns at client facilities. - Applying Client's standards related to the work. Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. Education/Experience Requirements: - A minimum of 12 years of substation physical design experience. - An Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or a high school diploma and 2 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience. - Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. - Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer. Valued Knowledge/Skills: - An Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Design. - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design. • Own PCB layout from concept through release using Altium Designer • Design multi-layer boards (4–12+ layers) for: Battery Management Systems (BMS) DC-DC converters and power stages High-current distribution • Optimize for: High-current paths & low impedance Thermal performance EMI/EMC compliance • Define stack-ups and collaborate directly with fabrication and assembly partners • Build and maintain component libraries and design rules in Altium • Support bring-up, debugging, and rapid iteration cycles

• Join and guide a diverse team of designers and drafters in creating structural designs, calculations, and technical drawings for substation projects • Lead design reviews and mentor junior designers • Collaborate with other disciplines and manage project timelines • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements • Interact directly with clients to review and resolve technical project-related issues

• Leads the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings for water, wastewater, and sewer projects using REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and Autodesk ReCap Pro • Mentor junior and mid-level designers, ensuring quality and consistency across all project work • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project requirements, schedules, and budgets • Participate in project review meetings and support the preparation of technical reports, material costs, and construction estimates • Prepare project “As-Builts” documentation and support field assignments as needed
