Substation Structural Designer
Leidos
• Join and guide a diverse team of designers and drafters in creating structural designs, calculations, and technical drawings for substation projects • Lead design reviews and mentor junior designers • Collaborate with other disciplines and manage project timelines • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements • Interact directly with clients to review and resolve technical project-related issues
Job Requirements
- AA/2-year degree in Engineering Technology - CAD or related scientific/technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in steel design
- Demonstrated understanding of design concepts associated with high voltage electrical substations
- Proficient in Substation Power Delivery Software: Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation
- 3D Modeling Using Autodesk Inventor (preferred)
