Overview Where precision meets purpose in transplant care. The Transplant Charge Analyst will review and audit all inpatient and outpatient pre-transplant charges. Team member will ensure that transplant and non-transplant related charges are being processed and recorded appropriately to ensure accuracy of the annual Medicare Cost Report according to corporate policy and governmental regulations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities - Reviews charge work queues for transplant and donor patient hospital and professional charges across all organ programs - Identifies, tracks, and resolves missing or misrouted charges in collaboration with Coding, Patient Financial Services (PFS), and clinical departments - Assists with preparation of audit documentation for Medicare Cost Reports and other regulatory submissions, as needed - Participates in cross-functional meetings and supports Charge Capture Review Team initiatives - Collaborates with IT analysts and Epic teams to optimize charge capture tools and workflows within Epic - Partners with Transplant Financial Coordinators and Transplant Nurse Coordinators to verify transplant phase, as needed Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, charge capture, coding, or transplant operations - Active nursing license or coding certification (e.g., CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, COC, CIC, or CCS-P) - Proficiency in revenue integrity, billing, and audit tools; experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred) - Working knowledge of transplant billing and compliance requirements - Demonstrated ability in process improvement and problem-solving within complex healthcare environments - Experience with clinical chart review and data abstraction

Role Description This position is located in the United States Department of Labor (Department or DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC). OFLC provides national leadership and policy guidance to carry out the responsibilities of the Secretary of Labor under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). - Provide leadership, direction and oversight designed to support the OFLC's delegated authority from the Secretary of Labor as authorized under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). - Manage workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs; provide day-to-day direction to Federal employees on case adjudication; answer questions regarding policies, procedures, and regulations; contribute to the development of guidance related to OFLC program operations. - Develop and maintain long and short-term strategic planning to facilitate the achievements of the Agency's mission and to improve performance consistent with key organizational policies and priorities and economic, political, and social trends affecting the organization. - Develop and administer protocols for the effective supervision of one or more OFLC programs in a high-volume production environment; plan effective teamwork and set priorities; analyze and summarize statistics based on large sets of production data; perform ongoing evaluation of the quantity and quality of OFLC case adjudications. - Represent ETA and DOL in both formal and informal meetings, conferences, briefing, etc. which involve the presentation or discussion of OFLC programmatic decisions and analyses, recommendations, and decisions. - Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned OFLC Programs and provide timely responses for technical assistance from multiple parties, including Federal employees, OFLC supervisors, OFLC senior management, OFLC National Office and other stakeholders. - Apply complex legal opinions and case law to case adjudications; work with the Department's Employment and Training Legal Services, OFLC National Office, and OFLC senior management team, as needed, to resolve complex legal questions related to case adjudication; prepare and track administrative appeals filed with the Board of Alien Labor Certification (BALCA) or Administrative Law Judges (ALJs); and implement adjudicatory decisions rendered by BALCA or ALJ to case-specific facts. - Interpret and apply various provisions contained in the INA as they relate to OFLC programs; possess familiarity with the immigration-related functions for the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and State workforce Agencies; official correspondence. • Works directly with Segment Science and Marketing management teams to develop an understanding of existing and emerging technologies to provide education, appeals influence and insight pertaining to payer policy for Government and Commercial payers. • Provide support to include attending Payer meetings with Payor Solutions Account Executives to communicate specific policy concerns and denials trends. • Regularly monitors payer policy updates and changes such as NCD, LCD and other commercial insurance coverage policies impacting reimbursement. • Functions as a liaison between Labcorp Sales, Medical Directors, and Government and Commercial Payer Medical Directors on issues pertaining to existing payer policies and proposed policy changes impacting reimbursement. • Will assist the Manager(s) with subject matter expertise for the development of comments on regulatory proposals, written testimony, policy position papers and regulations that affect the company, analyzing public policy, legislative and regulatory proposals, and reporting internally as required. • Collaborates with Sales and client accounts as a subject matter expert on payer policies and prior authorization requirements. • Communicates developments and updates on a regular basis through periodic reporting mechanisms and appropriate internal and external communications channels. • Examines health care trends, monitors implementation of Government Health Care Acts to inform business of implications and identify potential opportunities and/or risk for Medicare, Medicaid, Accountable Care Organizations, and Commercial payers. • Evaluates laboratory-related state legislation and laws to engage subject matter experts to determine potential impacts and next steps • Develops and maintains key contacts within Labcorp’s Sales leadership and Payor Solutions leadership to collaboratively address and improve reimbursement for medically necessary testing performed. • Performs other and further duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned by the manager, Director and/or Vice President of Payer Policy.
