The company is looking for a Backend Developer. Focus: Implementation and further development of backend services and business logic. • Assist in supporting an Internal Developer Platform built on Backstage • Learn how Backstage entities are defined and maintained • Support the use of Backstage templates by helping test workflows • Help monitor and troubleshoot platform-related Kubernetes workloads • Contribute to improving the developer experience by documenting features and onboarding steps

• Lead and grow a team of four engineers focused on CI/CD infrastructure • Create a strong culture of operational excellence • Own Mercury's release pipeline end-to-end • Drive the strategy for improving build performance and deployment safety • Partner with other teams to design and deliver systems • Establish and evangelize release engineering best practices • Balance long-term platform investments with day-to-day reliability • Build and maintain tooling for compliance checkpoints • Hire, mentor, and retain top-tier engineers

• Manage Salesforce release cycles across Development, Sandbox, UAT, and Production environments, ensuring reliable, low-risk deployments. • Coordinate and execute deployments of metadata and configurations, including Apex, Lightning components, flows, and integrations, using tools such as Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, or similar platforms. • Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines and automated testing approaches for Salesforce to improve release quality, speed, and consistency. • Configure and maintain Salesforce features such as custom objects, fields, validation rules, automation, and security settings to meet evolving business needs. • Oversee sandbox strategy, including refresh schedules, data seeding, and environment alignment, to support ongoing development, testing, and user acceptance. • Execute data imports, exports, and mass updates using Data Loader and related tools, while maintaining data quality and integrity across environments. • Monitor Salesforce system performance and release health, troubleshoot issues, and drive root cause analysis and remediation for deployment and configuration problems. • Partner closely with Enterprise Applications and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, communicate, and validate releases, including impact analysis, rollback plans, and post-deployment reviews.
