Business Intelligence Developer

Ziff Davis

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using APIs, SFTP, and third-party integrations (Salesforce, Zuora, RevenueCat, affiliate platforms, legacy systems) • Extract and transform Salesforce data to support B2B funnel reporting and attribution • Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues, resolve errors, and document ETL logic and data models • Validate data and investigate discrepancies across sources and pipelines • Support creation of clean, well-structured datasets for dashboards, campaign tracking, and lifecycle reporting across our cybersecurity brands • Perform data validation and ensure consistency across platforms and reports • Contribute to reusable datasets and maintain data warehouse hygiene • Use key marketing and sales metrics (MRR, funnel stages, LTV, churn) to validate data accuracy

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in data processing or data engineering
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience working with Salesforce data via APIs and batch ingestion pipelines (e.g., Talend or similar ETL tools)
  • Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda) to build and run pipelines
  • Understanding of B2B and SaaS metrics and how they are used in reporting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and grow within broader data engineering workstreams
  • Nice to Have: Experience working with ETL tools like Talend or similar
  • Experience optimizing batch pipelines (full refresh to incremental)
  • Familiarity with Redshift-based transformations (stored procedures, staging layers)
  • Exposure to ad platforms, affiliate, or partner data
  • Experience supporting dashboarding for marketing or sales teams
  • Interest in marketing analytics, attribution, or lifecycle reporting
  • Exposure to BI tools (Looker, QuickSight)
