Overview The Engineering Manager leads and mentors a team of software engineers while contributing directly to application development. This role partners with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs. The manager provides technical leadership, drives innovation, and ensures adherence to engineering best practices. The position balances strategic guidance with hands-on development work. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development - Lead, mentor, and support software engineers and application analysts. - Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. - Foster a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving team culture. Technical Delivery & Engineering Excellence - Contribute hands-on to coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. - Oversee design and development of software solutions following best practices and architectural standards. - Drive implementation of features, enhancements, and technical improvements. Collaboration & Project Execution - Partner with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities. - Manage timelines, resources, and project deliverables effectively. - Align work with other engineering teams to ensure consistency and system compatibility. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum Experience - 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a hands-on technical role. - Experience leading or managing software engineering teams. - Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Solid understanding of agile development and modern software development practices. Position Summary: The Part Time Territory Training & Sales Manager (TTSM) is a caring, customer service-oriented individual with a demonstrable passion for helping people with hearing loss. This is an in-the-field position that brings the privilege and opportunity to individually install and train our customers in using the ClearCaptions equipment and service in order to effectively enrich their lives. As PT TTSM you must enjoy working with a variety of people, mostly senior citizens, in their homes. This is a Part-time position (25-30 hours per week) for those who enjoy and excel when working independently. The ClearCaptions PT TTSM will be provided installations to accept, complete installation and train customers on the features and benefits of their caption telephone service. The ClearCaptions TTSM is also responsible to create their own leads through customer referrals, building relationships with hearing care providers/other business partners who will refer and through establishing their own events where they will educate customers about their entitlement to the equipment and service. This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. What you will do: - Install the ClearCaptions Phone and/or other ClearCaptions products and connect the phone to the customers’ existing services. You will be provided training. - Educate customers on how to use the phone and its features. - Follow-up with customers who need assistance to help with customer retention - Manage your scheduled install trainings/time to maximize each opportunity - Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies in order to service customers - Create lead-generation through generating referrals. - Adapt to new responsibilities and opportunities as necessary. - Develop and maintain positive relationships with the customers assigned to them by ClearCaptions in their sales territory. - Maintain appropriate customer and territory records using Salesforce and other tools provided by ClearCaptions.
