Project Coordinator
National Forest Foundation
• Conduct community engagement, fundraising and project management for the reconstruction of recreation areas, restoration of natural resources, and improvement of forest health on the Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests. • Work with U.S. Forest Service staff to support planning and improvement of hiking trails, reservable guard stations, and other recreation assets as well as natural resource improvement projects as needed. • Network with organizations, agencies and others in Northeast Oregon and the Pacific Northwest to advance the activities on the Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests. • Oversee contractors implementing on-the-ground projects in coordination with U.S. Forest Service staff to ensure successful project completion in a timely and financially responsible manner. • Manage contracts, invoices and finances for all NFF related projects on the Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests. • Maintain and manage administrative processes, including the management and tracking of program and project budgets. • With support of NFF’s Partnerships Program, work to expand the base of supporters and partners in the region by actively pursuing funding opportunities from government sources, foundations, corporations and individuals to support existing and new projects and opportunities to improve the National Forests. • Serve as a point of contact for NFF conservation and development activities in Northeast Oregon.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in conservation, outdoor recreation, natural resource management, watershed science, forestry, environmental science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience with proven results in recreation or conservation project management, community outreach, and partnership development.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience with proven results in project management, facilitation, and partnership development.
- Commitment to the mission of the NFF and familiarity with the U.S. Forest Service and National Forest lands management.
- An understanding of natural resource issues in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, and a willingness to build expertise in local natural resource issues and policies, quickly.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Role Description The BIM/VDC Sheetmetal Project Lead is responsible for performing modeling of specific or multiple systems/disciplines, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, cost-effective shop drawings that support our operations teams by enabling a smooth transition into fabrication and installation. This role oversees the 3D modeling and coordination process across one or more projects, always striving to deliver the most efficient and value-driven product on their assigned projects. - Works with BIM/VDC Manager, Project Management, and Field Leadership to read and understand specifications and contract documents and to establish a plan of attack on your project(s) within the framework of your BIM budget. - Applies knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, code interpretation, and company best practices to produce accurate, annotated installation and layout drawings. - Collaborates with the BIM/VDC Manager/Senior Project Lead to identify routing efficiencies that enhance BIM’s overall value on the project(s). - Effectively communicates the established plan of execution to all internal BIM/VDC team members and outsourcing partners supporting the project. - Quality control the product on your project(s) - whether drawn by you or another BIM resource. - Master BIM/VDC processes, including clash detection and embedded data, while refining your technical communication skills to lead industry coordination and collaboration efforts. - Ensure BIM/VDC personnel assisting you on your project(s) adhere to departmental protocols. - Oversee the management of models and drawings throughout the project lifecycle, from initial setup to continuous updates of all linked files. - Troubleshoots and problems solve issues associated with daily tasks. - Strives for proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, Bluebeam and other BIM software. - Work with BIM/VDC Sr. Project Leads/Managers to review and compare subcontractor budgets related to project specific tasks. - Works with leadership teams to schedule deliveries of Trimble layout drawings, shop drawings, BOMs, fabrication drawings, and as-built that meet the direct needs of your project(s). - Participates in any/all training opportunities at your disposal. - Adheres to the departmental code of ethics while exemplifying high levels of professionalism and leadership that appropriately represent the Company.
