Client Conversation Specialist

Million Dollar Author

Benefits: - Commission opportunities - Competitive salary - Flexible schedule - Opportunity for advancement You're the kind of person who lights up in conversation. You ask good questions. You listen. You make people feel heard fast. And you're looking for a role where those natural gifts actually matter. At Million Dollar Author, we help professional services entrepreneurs -- attorneys, financial advisors, consultants, and B2B business owners -- write and publish the book that transforms how they grow their firm. We've published over 300 books. We know the process works. And right now, we need a Sales Development Representative to be the first person our prospective clients meet. This role is not cold calling. Every person you speak with has already raised their hand. They're curious, motivated, and ready to explore what writing a book could mean for their business. Your job is to run a structured 20-minute discovery call, understand where they are and where they want to go, and guide the right candidates to a meeting with one of our Business Book Strategists. You'll also follow up via SMS and LinkedIn messaging between calls, keeping the conversation warm and making sure no one falls through the cracks. If you want meaningful work, a clear process to follow, and a front-row seat to a fast-growing company with a big mission, this might be exactly what you've been looking for. Responsibilities - Run 20-minute Zoom discovery calls with prospective clients (up to 30/week), following a proven structured outline. - Ask thoughtful questions that help uncover each prospect's business goals and book idea. - Qualify prospects and guide the right candidates to a meeting with a Business Book Strategist. - Follow up via text/SMS and LinkedIn messaging to keep prospects engaged between touchpoints. - Maintain accurate notes and handoffs so the sales team has full context on every conversation - Coordinate weekly with the sales and fulfillment team to sharpen your process and improve results. - The secret code is 1713. - Present professionally on camera with positive energy, warmth, and a welcoming presence. Skills & Talents - Talking to people and asking good questions comes naturally to you - Strong written communication -- your texts and LinkedIn messages are clear and human, never robotic - Business acumen -- you understand how businesses work and can hold a real conversation about growth and strategy - Excellent attention to detail and love for following a structured process - Thrives with autonomy but shows up as a true team player - Reliable, consistent, and takes initiative without being asked - Creative enough to think on your feet when a conversation goes somewhere unexpected Why You'll Love This Role - No cold calling. Every conversation starts with a warm, interested prospect. - Clear playbook. You follow a proven structure -- no guessing, no winging it. - Meaningful work. The people you talk to are building something real. You're helping them take a step that could change their business and their life. - Fully remote. Work from wherever you do your best work, on U.S. Eastern time. - Growing fast. You'll join a team that's scaling with purpose and has a clear 25-year vision.
