Brand Communications Specialist Location: Remote U.S Position Overview The Brand Communications Specialist strengthens company brand perception, develops executive messaging, and leads media relations, PR and thought leadership initiatives. Ensures brand consistency across all departments and serves as a steward of the company's narrative, alongside the Corporate Communications Manager. Key Responsibilities Thought Leadership - Prepare executive messaging for conferences, speaking engagements, and interviews. - Support leadership visibility through industry events and media engagements. - Ensure consistency in tone and message across all executive materials. - Ensure alignment between leadership messaging and corporate narrative. - Support strategic internal and external communication initiatives. - Develop corporate narratives and thought leadership content. Public Relations & Media Support - Manage public relations, media inquiries, and press releases. - Facilitate media pitch development, outreach and engagement. - Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets. - Monitor media coverage and share insights with leadership. Crisis & Reputation Management - Lead crisis communication planning, readiness, and response. - Monitor brand perception and communication risks. - Coordinate cross-functional response activities, if needed. Brand Governance - Conduct regular reviews of public-facing documents. Qualifications Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in brand communications, public relations, media relations, or corporate communications. - Demonstrated experience developing executive messaging, thought leadership content, or public-facing narratives. - Experience managing PR outreach, building media relationships, and coordinating press activities. - Background in crisis communications and reputation management preferred. - Experience writing for senior leadership and adapting tone for different audiences (executives, media, customers). - Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, including Marketing, HR, and leadership. Technical Skills - Strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities with the ability to craft compelling narratives. - Proficiency with PR and media tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) for monitoring and outreach. - Familiarity with content development for speeches, presentations, articles, and interviews. - Skilled in using basic design tools or templates for branded documents (PowerPoint, Adobe Suite preferred). - Excellent command of brand governance principles and communications best practices. - Ability to analyze communication performance metrics and synthesize insights for leadership.
