Salary Dependent on level of experience Start Date As soon as possible The Role Make Me Local is looking for a highly capable Technical Delivery Manager (WordPress) to take ownership of how our websites are built, delivered and scaled. This role combines technical oversight with operational leadership. You will act as the technical authority across our WordPress delivery function, setting clear standards, guiding technical decision-making and ensuring websites are built to a consistently high standard across performance, scalability, security and SEO. Alongside this, you will lead the day-to-day operational management of the delivery teams, bringing structure to planning, resourcing and execution. You will drive accountability, improve processes and ensure work is delivered efficiently without compromising on quality. This is a leadership role, not a coordination role. You will play a key part in defining standards, improving performance and shaping how the delivery function operates as the business grows. Support team leads with technical blockers and implementation decisions. - Guide decisions on theme architecture, build approach, plugin selection, hosting environments and infrastructure - Ensure consistency across frameworks, deployment processes and maintenance practices Technical SEO Oversight - Ensure websites are developed with strong technical SEO foundations from the outset - Embed SEO best practice into development standards, including site architecture, URL structure, internal linking, crawl-ability and indexation - Oversee implementation of metadata, canonical tags, robots directives and schema markup where required - Support strong organic performance, search engine accessibility and long-term scalability - Act as a checkpoint to reduce SEO-related technical issues before launch or deployment Quality Control & Continuous Improvement - Ensure work meets expected standards across delivery, technical quality and SEO readiness - Identify inefficiencies and improve processes and workflows - Drive improvements in how websites are built, deployed and maintained - Help continuously raise standards across delivery and technical output Reporting & Performance Tracking - Track and report on delivery performance, team utilisation and workload distribution - Provide clear operational visibility to the Head of Product Delivery - Use data and reporting to support resource planning, process improvement and performance decisions Skills & Competencies Technical Skills & Experience We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: - Strong experience in delivery, operations or project management leadership - Proven ability to manage multiple work-streams, priorities and competing demands - Strong experience in capacity planning, workload management and utilisation oversight -
