Tax Support Specialist

• Own a defined set of federal, state, and local tax agencies end-to-end • Be the direct point of contact with agencies • Communicate directly with partners regarding their notices or tax accounts • Balance and reconcile tax accounts • Manage a queue of tax issues • Recognize and report larger systemic issues

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll tax, tax operations, compliance, or notice resolution
  • Genuine comfort on the phone with tax agencies and in writing to partners
  • Experience with federal (IRS/SSA), state, and local agencies
  • Organized and methodical
  • Ability to solve first, escalate thoughtfully
  • A curiosity for edge cases
