We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development initiatives within the SRS Data Science team. This role is ideal for someone with 5–10 years of project management experience, a strong background in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with modern software architectures, cloud-based systems, and contemporary development practices. The Project Manager will partner closely with developers, analysts, product leads, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations. This position is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems across cross‑functional teams, and brings structure and clarity to fast-moving technical work. The remote position must be based in Nova Scotia. Responsibilities and Duties - Lead end‑to‑end project planning, including scope definition, resource planning, and timeline creation. - Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. - Work closely with technical teams to understand architecture, system dependencies, and development workflows to ensure realistic planning and risk mitigation. - Track progress across multiple workstreams and maintain clear, transparent communication with stakeholders. - Identify project risks, constraints, and cross-team dependencies; proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans. - Ensure alignment between business goals, technical execution, and product requirements. - Maintain organized and up‑to‑date project documentation, including plans, logs, decisions, and status updates. - Support change management processes, ensuring smooth rollout of new features, enhancements, and system improvements. - Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, reporting, and team collaboration. Attributes and Skills - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems). - 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager in software development or technical product environments. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with modern SDLC practices. - Experience working with modern software architectures, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, or similar technical environments. - Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. - Confident working with both technical and nontechnical audiences. - PMP, PMIACP, CSM, or similar certification is a plus (not required). THE ROLE: MBI is seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven Temporary Project Manager of Communications to join our team. This temporary position offers the opportunity to amplify the work of MBI and attract attention to initiatives that are directly impacting residents across the state. The role involves planning and developing creative communication strategies, content, written material, and event management for the portfolio of MBI programs. This role directly reports to MBI’s Associate Director of Ecosystem & Programs and is part of a matrixed team structure wherein 50% of the division is comprised of Program Managers and the remaining 50% is comprised of the Cross-Portfolio Team.
