How you'll make an impact Primarily focused on providing advice and solutions to our external clients, using insights into global market trends and regulatory requirements. Seeks to drive innovation in the analytics advisory sector through external research partnerships in a defined area of expertise including strategic financial advice, government, public and private bodies, fintech, (re)insurance research, industry bodies, etc. to strengthen client offerings and drive business development and renewal. Manages a team of two or more Professionals, more senior level Support staff. May have supervisors reporting to them. Hiring/firing authority starts at this level, including being responsible for performance reviews and recommending pay actions. Key Responsibilities: - Adapts department plans and priorities to address resource and team challenges. - May recommend policy and strategy for area of responsibility. - Responsible for policy and strategy implementation. - Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of team results. - Ensuring compliance policies, and procedures are understood and followed. - Responsible for the success of staff results. - Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team, with direct impact on the immediate or short-term operational results of the team. - Provides input to functional strategy, typically does not have budget or P&L accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by senior management. - Accountable for, performance and results of a mid-sized team or multiple small teams of direct reports. Problems and issues faced may be difficult and require understanding of a broader set of issues. Exercises management authority, including performance reviews, recruitment recommendations and requirements, execution of discipline, and other personnel actions. - Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior management. About You Required: - Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience. Desired: - Master’s degree or professional certification preferred. - Experience in a supervisory or management role. Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager for Data Centers (BDMDC) to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Division of Legrand Canada. This is a remote position reporting to Alberta, Canada. This position is responsible for generating opportunities in the Data Center Market, driving specifications, working with Contractors installing product in Data Centers, generating quote requests for our Data Center products under EWS as well as provide Collaborative support to other Divisions like DPC who have a large breath of products geared towards Data Centers. As part of the BDMDC’s responsibility they will focus on generating the sales opportunities with Power Bus Way, Cablofil, Pass & Seymour and Wiremold, key EWS brands. The successful candidate will also acts as the national subject-matter expert for Data Center infrastructure solutions, engaging end users, consulting engineers, contractors, and channel partners to influence specifications and project awards in the Data Center market and adjacent markets.
