Sales Engineer – Payments

Breeze

• Partner with sales to support the full deal cycle end-to-end—from technical discovery to solution design and close • Lead technical conversations with customers, including product demos, architecture discussions, and integration planning • Translate complex payment infrastructure, APIs, and workflows into clear, compelling solutions tailored to customer needs • Design and present scalable solution architectures across payments, wallets, and crypto use cases • Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and sandbox integrations to demonstrate product capabilities • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects, helping them evaluate Breeze’s platform and integration approach • Support RFPs, technical documentation, and security/compliance reviews throughout the sales process • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to communicate customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities • Identify technical blockers and proactively develop solutions to accelerate deal velocity • Ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to post-sales by aligning on technical scope and implementation requirements • Continuously improve demo environments, technical collateral, and sales engineering playbooks

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar technical pre-sales roles
  • Strong experience in payments, fintech infrastructure, or related domains (e.g., acquiring, issuing, gateways, wallets, crypto)
  • Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, and system integrations (REST, webhooks, authentication, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work closely across sales, product, and engineering
