Senior Platform Engineer Employment type: Full time ongoing Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10 salary range: $129,464 - $142,665 + super + superannuation Location: Sydney with weekly office attendance and hybrid working Job Description: About Us The Platform Engineering team is a small, fast-paced agile team working on new platform enhancements and projects. We are currently building web applications that automatically provision secure Azure infrastructure. We operate in an Agile environment and collaborate closely as a cohesive unit. Key responsibilities - Develop Platform Solutions: Build and deploy resilient platform services using Bicep, Terraform, and YAML pipelines to support data analytics environments. - Implement CI/CD Workflows: Design and maintain CI/CD workflows to automate infrastructure provisioning and ensure seamless deployments. - Utilise Azure Services: Work with Azure services (e.g., App Services) to optimize platform performance and scalability, with adaptability to other clouds if needed. - Contribute to Design: Provide input into platform design and architecture, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions. - Collaborate Effectively: Partner with cross-functional product teams to deliver platform enhancements aligned with strategic goals. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: - Experience as a Senior Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role with a focus on infrastructure automation. - Proficiency in Bicep, Terraform, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD workflows for building scalable platforms. - Design-level skills with the ability to contribute to platform architecture. - Experience with Azure (preferred) or alternative cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP). - A problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and resilience. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment, delivering reliable platforms. - Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and supporting team members. Advantage: - Familiarity with software engineering skills (e.g., React, Express TypeScript, API development). - Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) or SOLID principles. - Knowledge of containerisation (e.g., Docker) or cloud security best practices.

• Support the requirements elicitation and analyze current requests/requirements and develop the Enterprise Performance Lifecycle (EPLC) compliant technical documentation (e.g., Concept, Requirements and Design Document) as requested. • Develop and implement SharePoint Online and MS Power Platform solutions to automate and to increase efficiency. • Review existing SPO Sites and Power Platform applications and recommend enhancements for additional automation and user experience. • Leverage new Microsoft 365 features and out-of-the-box functionality while adhering to the FDA User Experience (UX) design best practices and design guidelines to design, develop, and deploy new SPO Sites and Power Platform applications within the Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment. • Recommend new tools and technologies for integration with Power Platform applications to support complex business and regulatory processes. • Address and resolve user inquiries/issues logged. • Assist with System/Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed. • Work with the IT Project Manager to provide status reports (risks/issues, deliverables, and completed and anticipated activities).

The Data Solutions Developer designs, develops, and optimizes enterprise data warehouse solutions that support analytics and reporting initiatives. This role applies strong database development expertise, Azure cloud technologies, and Power BI to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that enable accurate insights and informed business decision-making.
