Director, Software Engineering
Teladoc Health
• Own the end-to-end architecture and execution for partner and EHR integrations, provider availability and scheduling systems, and provider digital door capabilities. • Drive platform reliability, scalability, and performance. • Define and evolve a modern interoperability strategy leveraging FHIR and APIs. • Partner closely with product, clinical, and operations teams to enable seamless provider workflows. • Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads across multiple domains. • Collaborate with security, compliance, and privacy teams to ensure secure architectures. • Foster collaboration between local and abroad development teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years leading platform or domain-oriented engineering teams.
- Deep experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR).
- Proven experience building and operating large-scale, API-driven platforms.
- Strong understanding of identity, authentication, and authorization systems.
- Experience integrating with EHRs such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, or similar platforms.
- Strong architectural judgment and ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health.
