Job Summary The Clinic Accounting Manager is responsible for leading accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data in accordance with established accounting principles. This role oversees the monthly close process, internal controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. The Manager supervises a team of accounting professionals and partners with internal stakeholders to support compliance, operational efficiency, and financial transparency. Essential Functions - Oversees daily accounting operations and ensures alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards. - Leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. - Supervises and develops accounting staff, providing direction, performance feedback, and professional development. - Monitors internal controls and ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies. - Coordinates with auditors and internal teams to support audit readiness and resolve issues as needed. - Collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure proper accounting treatment and resolve discrepancies. - Reviews and interprets financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement. - Supports the implementation of system enhancements, reporting tools, and standard operating procedures. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Maintains regular and reliable attendance. - Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required - 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting required - 1-3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a professional accounting environment required - Experience working in a shared services, corporate accounting, or healthcare environment preferred - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and data reporting tools preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Advanced knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks; ability to apply technical accounting standards in a practical, business-focused context. - Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to manage performance, delegate effectively, and support professional development of direct reports. - High level of financial and operational acumen, including experience with variance analysis, accruals, and month-end close processes. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk, and recommend solutions. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders. - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Excel; ability to leverage technology for process improvements. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment. Role Description We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager to join the Software Solutions team in our Client Accounting Advisory practice. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings. Record impacts from any changes during the project. - Coordinate the issue escalation process for making business and monetary decisions, as well as identifying and mitigating risks. - Advise on areas of scope, phase management, and technical architecture and identify any areas in which changes to the plan are required. - Obtain acceptance by client, close the project, conduct post-project review and document lessons learned. - Knowledge transfer and mentor client assigned project leads for them to become self-sufficient. - Communicate project updates including status, risks, issues, and escalations. - Lead governance, strategic and standardization initiatives as set mutually within quarterly business, team and/or individual goals. Qualifications - Accounting software implementation and/or consulting role in a multi-client environment is required. - Accounting business development or customer success experience is preferred. - Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (accounting, information technology, computer science or related discipline desired). - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with accounting ERP solutions. - Superb communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with consultants and clients and make project presentations. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-sufficient and self-starting. - Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, technology, or service industries. - Expert in the use of Project Management tools and templates such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SmartSheet, and/or Monday.com.
