• Develop, edit, and maintain federal healthcare policy documentation in alignment with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directive formats, federal writing standards, and established governance approval processes. • Translate complex workforce analysis, staffing models, organizational design concepts, and informatics modernization content into clear, concise materials tailored for executive leadership and governance stakeholders. • Produce high-quality policy, strategy, and workforce planning documents that successfully support federal review, coordination, and approval activities. • Ensure consistency, accuracy, clarity, and professional presentation across high-visibility deliverables through comprehensive editing and quality assurance reviews. • Manage document version control, review cycles, and artifact traceability across multiple concurrent workstreams and Program Increments (PIs). • Coordinate document updates and stakeholder feedback incorporation to maintain alignment with evolving program requirements and governance decisions. • Prepare and format workforce modernization materials for publication in accordance with VA Informatics Compass (VIC) content standards, publishing requirements, and accessibility guidelines. • Maintain document repositories and supporting records to ensure compliance with federal documentation, records management, and audit readiness expectations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in consulting, strategic communications, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, or healthcare communications.
- Experience supporting complex federal government initiatives, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and VHA.
- Experience with AP Style, Section 508 compliance, and federal plain language requirements.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and executive communications skills.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
