Role Description The Huntress Security Team wakes up every morning knowing we make hackers regret targeting our partners and customers. As a Staff Technical Community Engagement Writer, you are the technical conscience of our marketing engine. You will sit at the intersection of deep security research and community education, ensuring that every piece of content we ship is both technically bulletproof and impossible to ignore. You will act as a force multiplier for our mission by taking raw intelligence from our researchers and turning it into high-impact narratives that help the community stay ahead of emerging threats. In this role, you will give more than you take by delivering extreme value to the community through free, educational content that builds lasting trust. You will exercise candor to ensure our messaging remains authentic and free of corporate fluff, keeping our voice grounded in reality. Because the threat landscape moves fast, you will embrace perfect imperfection - iterating quickly on technical findings to get accurate, actionable information into the hands of practitioners while it matters most. Responsibilities: - Partner with security researchers and detection engineers to translate complex security research into clear, compelling stories. - Review and edit marketing assets to ensure technical accuracy and maintain the gritty, practitioner-focused Huntress voice. - Work cross-functionally with product and security teams to build accurate assets that reflect our latest defensive innovations. - Identify marketing campaign opportunities based on technical content and emerging threats found by our security team. - Support social media and marketing teams by building messaging that accurately reflects deep technical research. - Bridge the gap between technical SMEs and diverse audiences, from frontline analysts to executive buyers. - Support Rapid Response and Threat Report efforts from the Adversary Tactics team. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in the cybersecurity space, ideally within a SOC or threat intelligence environment. - Deep knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and the ability to explain them without relying on jargon. - Proven ability to distill high-level technical research into accessible, action-oriented content for the community. - A genuine passion for following current events in the cybersecurity space and a pulse on the latest adversary trends. - Experience using AI as a tool to speed up workflows while remaining sharp about its limitations and downsides. - A collaborative mindset that thrives when working with subject matter experts to find the best way to tell a story. - Energetic, transparent team player who is self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Benefits - 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015. - Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays. - 12 weeks of paid parental leave. - Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans. - 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution. - Life and Disability insurance plans. - Stock options for all full-time employees. - One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office. - Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance. - $75 USD/month digital reimbursement. - Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth. Company Description Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact. Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection. Huntress now secures more than 5M endpoints and 11M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
