• Independently handle an inventory of litigated and non-litigated files • Advise and mentor less senior attorneys • Perform remote work from anywhere in the U.S. • Required to travel for depositions, mediations, and trials • Prepare discovery, legal pleadings, trial briefs, etc. • Appear and advocate on behalf of CSAA IG and member insureds • Conduct all phases of personal injury litigation including jury trials, motions, and arbitration hearings
Job Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in insurance defense practice with courtroom and first or second chair trial experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with assigned paralegal(s) and support staff
- Requires law degree
- License to practice law in California required
- Skilled in personal injury litigation including liability assessment, causation, damages
- Proficient computer skills, including MS office and online research tools
- Ability to advocate creatively, persuasively and effectively
