About the Role: The Editorial Vendor Management Specialist plays a key role in supporting Editorial Excellence by monitoring and managing outsourced editorial services across Wiley’s journal portfolio. This role focuses on vendor partner performance management, reporting, feedback coordination, and communication to ensure the delivery of high-quality, competitive editorial services aligned with business expectations. You will work closely with the Senior Manager, Vendor Management, Vendor Management Specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders to support vendor accountability, continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and effective change management across editorial operations. How You Will Make an Impact - Monitor and review weekly and monthly vendor partner performance, productivity, and quality reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement - Coordinate and manage the vendor partner feedback process, ensuring timely communication, RCA/CAPA responses, and tracking of trends and insights - Analyze performance themes and share actionable insights with Vendor Management, Editorial Excellence, and Peer Review Performance (PRP) colleagues - Support vendor improvement initiatives, training, and accreditation programs in collaboration with internal teams and vendor partners - Maintain accurate data, trackers, and documentation related to journal assignments, vendor locations, editorial models, and peer review systems - Manage and contribute to clear, consistent communications with vendor partners and internal stakeholders regarding expectations, initiatives, workflow changes, and policies - Support and coordinate process and service change management, including updates to documentation and standard operating procedures - Manage and support Purchase Order and invoice coordination, acting as a point of contact for vendor partner queries in collaboration with internal stakeholders - Participate in regular vendor partner reviews, audits, and meetings (remote and onsite) - Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of vendor management processes and tools What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s or master’s degree required - 1–2 years of experience in journal publishing and/or peer review processes within a publishing or vendor environment - Experience working directly with vendor partners (preferred) - Experience collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones and cultures (preferred) - Familiarity with editorial systems, performance monitoring tools, and/or process improvement initiatives (preferred) - Strong English written and verbal communication skills - Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with multiple stakeholders - Comfortable holding vendor partners and stakeholders accountable to agreed standards and expectations - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in data and processes - Strong organizational and time management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel - Ability to work autonomously within established procedures while managing multiple priorities We power infinite possibilities.
